Anybody else see that Sam Jones III (Pete Ross) is in jail for 20 years for selling drugs or something? I don't know if it's true, but I guess he won't be back til season 29.

Yeah, but the didn't say WHEN he would return. And, they've written themselves into holes before, plenty of times.

I'd love to see him back, but I honestly think that they were just testing the waters, and setting up a *possible* storyline, just in case they're ever successful in getting Rosenbaum back. But, I doubt they've got anything set up with him at the moment. I think that was probably just comic writer Geoff Johns having some fun, and making a bold move on everyone's behalf.

They did an awesome job!! CW should/must proceed with a tenth season and slowly introduce / transition to a JSA/JLA/Legion series the”Silver Age”. Yes the “Star Girl’s” character was annoying and she is supposed to be… her character is based after a 15/16 year old. This episode had implications of the return of Lex Luthor, a Hawk Man arc with the reincarnation if Sha'ira “Hawk Girl” where she denies their love to keep both of them alive, a Dr. Fate arc finding the new worthy one, a Green Arrow & Hawk Man Team up arc, a New Green Lantern arc about passing the ring to a new successor, a Sandman successor arc, a New Flash arc where Bart is mentored by the old flash, Martian Man Hunter Jon-Jonz arc about Mars, Clark Learns to Fly arc with the help of his cousin Super Girl Kara-El, crossovers to introduce Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince “Wonder Woman” in the Smallville world, an arc of Chloe “Watch Tower” locating the surviving Society/League members, and the introduction of Darkseid “Aka the coming Apocalypse” (King of Apokolips) as stated by Amanda Waller's character. I say move-on with this Kandorian plot and move-on to DC hero mythology or fuse them together to create super villains with less-than powerful Kandorian as they are all clones and cannot fully gain all the powers of a true Kryptonian (Aka Kal-EL and Kara-EL), and then bring on the “King of Apokolips” Darkseid. All these Episodes should have a Louis and Clark love story incorporated or have Clark save or be saved by these characters.
Bottom-line: This episode opened up a can of potential and endorsements for the CW. They would be ignorant to disregard this as there is a pre-existing extremely large built in fan base. Also the whoever did the casting for Smallville is doing an awesome job. It's in the casting.

Awesome episode! I loved it, Hawkman looked pretty cool, even a little Batman-like, Star Girl was kind of annoying, but I looked past that. Dr. Fate was AWESOME, got to have a new Dr. Fate ASAP, Would not mind seeing the JSA appear next season, If the CW does not renew Smallville for a 10th (and possibly final) season, then they are stupid. A 10th season should be tights and flight, enough of the Blur.

was it just me or was star girl the most annoying character throughout the whole show?
the special effects for icedude could have been better and the overall acting could have stepped up a anotch, but on the whole it was a good episode.
it opened up many doors/windows for future plots (manhunter getting his powers back)
and they introduced checkmate which appear to be an assassination group with villians on their side (i dont follow DC so correct me if im wrong)
if they do get another season i hope they step things up, and maybe introduce his costume

Had a rare Friday night off and my Wife took a chance andI really enjoyed it. Over the past nine years we have tried to watch 5 or 6 episodes a year and we hope there is a tenth. Manhunter getting his powers back was good news. I like the young Wellington and have appreciated his advancements in his craft and I feel now ….if there ever is another Supes film, this Lad is born to play the role. He has finally reached the right age.
