smallville season 9 Smallville: New Absolute Justice Clip & Poster

With the winter premiere of Smallville being moved and fans having to wait another week to see Steve Bacic as Archer (or in this case “The Dark Archer”), The CW was kind enough to release another clip and a beyond-awesome poster for the television movie event, “Absolute Justice,” to hold fans over until the show’s return. Are the poster and clip enough?

Oh yeah!

While the clip is only 30-seconds long, it does show a little more of the story we can expect to see and I don’t know how, but it’s made me even more excited for this. I really didn’t think it was possible for me to be even more excited for “Absolute Justice,” but I am. If the clip didn’t do it, the poster would have.

The poster, showing Dr. Fate, Stargirl, Green Arrow and Hawkman, is not only amazing, but an enormous step up from the lackluster Photoshop job that was done with the season 9 promo photos for Smallville (see header image above).

Oh, silly me, I forgot about the clip. Check it out below.

Uh-oh… what’s happened to the Justice Society? I’m not sure, but I have a feeling that someone named Wesley Dodds and his alter-ego rhyming with “randman” (Sandman) has something to do with it.

The poster? We’ve got that as well. Bam! Check it out.

I’m not one to get my hopes up, but I’m almost positive that “Absolute Justice” is going to be above and beyond the mess Superman Returns turned out to be. Does this possibly add a little more credence to my feeling that Tom Welling should be given a shot to play Superman in the movies?

What say you? Am I just fanboying it up or are the clip and poster really that great?

While the return of Smallville has been pushed back a week, “Absolute Justice” is still set to air February 5 @8PM.

  1. I am so excited for this! I think I yelled a little bit, when I watched that, out of excitement. lol

  2. Nice tale. Sounds so similar to the Watchmen story tho. What i liked tho is the Amanda Waller intro. Finally, someone is looking the way of Suicide Squad? One of the most unique band of 'heroes' assembled. They watch their backs rather than each others!

  3. Yup, big time Watchmen vibe there. I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned it.

  4. Where can i find EVERY episode of Smallville up until now? I would like to watch from the beginning. If you know, let me know

  5. Um, on DVD?

you can only watch 72 hours a day though. So you can only get through 1 1/2 episodes.

  7. thanks for the site foopher!

  8. Sam

Just watched my first episode of Smallville today. I watched the Pilot episode from Season 1 and thought it was pretty good. I think I may try to catch up to the current season. I have many episodes to watch lol.

  9. you are most certainly welcome :)

  10. Yeah you have eight more seasons to watch, seriously though, you could skip season 4 entirely as it is god awful, and most of season 6 is rubbish as well. I look at it like this…

    Season 1. Pretty Good

    Season 2. Great

    Season 3. Amazing

Season 4. One of the worst seasons of television I have ever seen

Season 5. A return to form

Season 6. Not great. Shocking writing.

Season 7. Not bad, but a bit of a fluffy season. Decent arc story though.

Season 8. Very dark, but very good. Let down by finale.

Season 9. So far, has not put a foot wrong.

  11. Thanks for the heads up. I'll remember that so I know what episodes to fast foward through.

  12. I'd agree with that. Although i thought that the premiere and the finale of season 4 were real cool.

  13. I think the black is so he looks more like a “blur” for pictures. Jimmy figured out it was him in season 8 because of the read and blue. (Oops, kind giving stuff away for a guy who hasn't watched it :) )

  14. hi i've watched all episodes of smallville on the site http://www.surfthechannel.com

  15. As much as Smallville fans would love it, I don't think we will ever get a Superman film starring Tom Welling unless somehow it was a big-screen Smallville movie. I agree with the necessity of a better plot, but there is no way Supes is getting an R-rating. Think how many little kids that would leave out of the box office equation.
