A brilliant Sims 4 player has recreated Harry Potter's Hogwarts in-game, impressively utilizing no custom content. Recreating locales from pop culture in The Sims 4 is an incredibly popular player activity, with users making everything from movie sets and cartoon environments to locations from their favorite reality shows. After players design their creations, they can share them online with others using the Sims 4 Gallery.

Building has always been a large part of The Sims series from its very first installment, and tools for players have only increased over time. The Sims 4's Build and Buy Mode offers an extensive array of options, from wall and roof building to landscaping. Design options are increased further by DLC for the title, with each offering new furniture to players alongside other building components like windows and siding. Even with all of these different things at their disposal, players will often opt to download fan-designed custom content for The Sims 4 in an effort to further expand their design capabilities.

Reddit user TheSimScrolls shared an incredible Harry Potter-inspired build online this week that amazingly uses no custom content. The user has expertly recreated the old castle's tall spires and rocky foundation, and manages to capture the castle's ancient feel and astonishing size despite the restrictions imposed by Sims 4 lot sizes. An impressive video of the building process can be found via The Sim Scroll's Youtube channel, showing the various intricacies of the recreation. While the inside of the Hogwarts build isn't currently furnished, the user has future plans to fill the inside as part of an ongoing Harry Potter series.

This Sims 4 Harry Potter Build Is Truly An Impressive Sight

Although massive Sims 4 fantasy builds are nothing new for the game's creative community, the fact that this player utilized absolutely no custom content throughout their design process is truly incredible. Custom content is nearly ubiquitous with detailed recreations like this, especially when the build deals with a fantasy setting, as The Sims 4 often provides little content that properly fits the aesthetic players are aiming for. A build without custom content is a big boon for players who wish to download and play with this Hogwarts set themselves, as users can simply download the castle straight from the Sims 4 Gallery and begin using it without needing to track down extra item pieces online.

This isn't the first time this player has created an impressive CC-less build either; previously, TheSimScrolls designed an amazing Sims 4 version of Rivendell from Lord of the Rings without the use of custom content. Although this clever creator won't be sharing their version of Harry Potter's Hogwarts until they've fully furnished the lot, players can surely look forward to playing out their own fantasy stories within the build once they do. While custom content is a welcome staple in the Sims 4 community, CC-free builds like this can sometimes feel especially magical.
