The sun might be setting on Siesta Key for good as the season 5 finale dropped several hints the reality series is over. The show followed Juliette Porter and her friends since its debut in 2017 when Alex Kompothecras was also a significant part of the series. The ups and downs of Juliette's friendships, the backs and forths of her relationship, and her dream of building a swimsuit brand were showcased to fans on the show since the star. However, for the fifth season, the show was rebranded as Siesta Key: Miami Moves and followed Juliette and her friends to Miami.

Last season on Siesta Key, Sam Logan, Jordana Barnes, and others joined Juliette in the magic city and focused heavily on building their careers. The cast is all in their mid to late 20s now, and their priorities have shifted drastically since the show's first season. Juliette found a stable relationship with Clark Drum and has turned her swimsuit company JMP The Label, into a massive success. Kelsey Owens confirmed the show isn't as authentic as it once was, which is one of many reasons Siesta Key might be ending.

The Siesta Key Cast Said Their Goodbyes During The Finale

Ahead of the finale, Siesta Key star Amanda Miller posted Polaroids of her fellow cast members with a lengthy caption reminiscing on all the good times they've had on the show. At the same time, Juliette shared several throwback photos from filming the first season of the show, followed by Chloe Long also sharing her favorite Siesta Key memories.

At the end of the Siesta Key: Miami Moves finale, the cast met up for lunch, where they discussed their plans, which, for many, involved leaving Miami. It was an emotional scene full of tears, which concluded with a montage of the most memorable Siesta Key moments. The montage even included a clip from Juliette's season 1 audition tape. While Juliette said the cast has no idea if the show is ending, it seems odd that the season would have such an emotional ending if it were returning.

The Siesta Key Cast Is Tired Of The Drama

Last season, the Siesta Key cast was outspoken about how tired they were of the series. Chloe accused the reality tv world of being toxic, while Kelsey suggested that a lot of the series' drama was fake. At one point, Jordana was upset about how she was portrayed on the show and said she would no longer promote it on her social media accounts.

One particular moment, Chloe was angry was when she told Jordana her face fillers might have felt more sensitive because she was on her period. Still, the show edited it to look like she said Jordana was being sensitive regarding her emotions because of her period. The cast doesn't have the same drama as when they were younger, which could be why some of it seems fabricated. Aside from the edited drama, Amanda and Juliette suggested Siesta Key is ending.

While there's no clear sign about Siesta Key's fate, the cast has made it seem like this is the end. It would be shocking if the show did return, as there isn't much else to cover in the star's lives. Producers would have to get clever with storylines and maybe even introduce new, younger main stars to keep fans entertained. The show was beloved while it was on, but everything has to end at some point, and it seems Siesta Key may have reached its close.
