Sienna Miller must have one hell of an agent. I don’t think that I’ve even seen her in a film, and I’m pretty certain that I could walk past her in the street and not know who she is. However, she keeps getting column inches in newspapers, but more importantly she keeps getting cast in films.
Her latest signing is as Maid Marian in Nottingham, Ridley Scott’s twist on the Robin Hood legend, where the Sheriff of Nottingham is in fact the good guy, and Robin isn’t such a Merry Man.
Russell Crowe has already been signed to play the Sheriff. Well, it is directed by Ridley Scott!
What a simple idea!
Why didn’t I think of it.

The BBC spoke with the “actress” who said:
“It’s ridiculous. But there’s this looming actor’s strike, so it’s not 100% sure that it’s going to be made, but it’s looking pretty certain.”
Brian Helgeland penned the script to this period adventure. Well, I presume that it’s an adventure because not much is known about the film other than it is a twist on the iconic legend.
I’m quite interested in the Robin Hood legend and I really enjoyed not only Kevin Costner’s Robin Hood: Prince of Theives, but also the 1980’s British show Robin of Sherwood. Check it out on DVD now!
If all goes well Nottingham should be on target to hit a cinema near you in 2009.

How does someone with such a loathsome reputation get to play a role like “maid”
Marion? She is certainly not a maid by anyones standards! It’s like asking Charles Manson to play Santa Clause! She can’t possibly pull it off as she is a terrible actress.
