I would be more excited if it was a sequel instead of a remake.
I have been wanting a "short circuit III" just as badly as I have been wanting "ghostbusters 3", "gremlins 3", and "back to the future 4",

Not interested. The original still holds up, and is a classic.

How about a movie about writers with original ideas? :-)

"Foster has no plans to change the look of the iconic 80’s robot."

And thus I have some faith in this movie... some.

Really, the only reason the first one worked was because of the short scenes of banter between Steve Guttenberg's character and Benjamin... that and Number Five slowly becoming more lifelike and imitating the Three Stooges... The second film was alright (when you do a climax scene to the music of Bonnie Tylors "Holding out for a hero" you're on to a winner), but no where near as good.

I'm at the point where I don't care anymore, as long as they don't take on any films that couldn't conceivably have been carried out any more successfully.

I'll watch anything that they do that at least tries to improve on flawed material. After all, it seems that's all we'll have to choose from if things keep going the way they are. Except for Pixar films, of course. After all their success producing original ideas, you'd think someone else on the west coast would realize there is money to be made in good, original material, well-produced.

Not excited. I love Short Circuit as it is. It's sequel was bad. Maybe having someone update the effects from the original movie is the only thing it could really use.

This might be good but I don't trust that it'll be an improvement.
