i have been a green hornet fan since the show was a first run series when i was in high school.now that i am 59 i hear there will be a green hornet series.great right? wrong.

seth rogan will produce and star in the action comedy.hold your horses.action comedy?it was not a campy show like batman.it was not an action comedy.

the chances are in my lifetime i will never have the chance to see a proper green hornet movie made.

hollywood has a track record of doing tv shows wrong.mission impossible, the wild wild west and I-spy.

this is another case of that.

Seth is the producer. My only thought is: DVD Mar/Apr 2011. I can’t think of him as anything more than a bumb. It’s easy to pull off the costume. It’s pulling off the secret identity that worries me.

I’m really curious (and a bit anxious) on how this movie will turn out. I was a fan of the original Green Hornet TV show and I liked it because it was the complete opposite of the Batman live TV show (with Adam West). Though both shows were produced by Greenway productions, Batman was more “light” and comical (remember those “Wham! or “Crack” or “ouch!” that flashes across the screen when the Dynamic Duo throws a punch?), while the Green Hornet was “darker” and more serious. Having Bruce Lee in it also added to the “intensity.”

So, what will this “remake” be? Will it “humorous?” Oh man, oh man…I certainly hope not!

There’s something about Rogen that makes me want him to fail, I think its the fact that somewhere out there there’s a better actor and director then him…

It just looks terrible, the set pictures, the cast, I have never seen the original. It means nothing to me and has big expensive flop written all over it.

you know that’s the real point I think, you hear the cast and go “wow that’ll be funny”, “wait it’s a super hero movie”, “oh”, “um… well…um”. No idea how this is going to play out and I really need to see a trailer; until then it sounds like it’ll end up being a poor mans Dick Tracy… and I don’t even wanna know what that would look like on the big screen

This has got to be the oddest, never thought of before cast for a movie I have ever heard of. When you hear this cast all together you think “whoa cool” then “wait wtf this is sorta weird” then “well it could be pretty interesting” or “I’m sure this will be a huge flop.”

At least that’s what has been going through my mind. I’m guessing this will either be very good and do well, or just be too much or too weird and do horribly, no in-between.
