I don’t remember much about the animated Astro Boy TV show I watched as a kid… only the fact that I did in fact watch it.
Astro Boy tells the story of a powerful robot boy created by a brilliant scientist in the image of the son he has lost. He journeys to find acceptance in the human world, and ultimately discovers true friendship as he uses his incredible powers to help others and to save Metro City from destruction.
There’s not much out on this yet and as far as I know it’s going to be a full CGI animated film. I like the poster… there’s something rather epic about it. Click on the image for a larger version.

Lets hope its a little more like the original or the 80s version, and not so much like that pile of crap they are flogging on TV these days.
omg – I could not agree with you more. The 80’s Astroboy was loveable and innocent. The Astro boy in the new series makes me wanna slap him upside the head and tell him to respect his elders!
i hope you guys will make this movie nice and i can’t wait to see it, please make it special for all of the fans thank you.
YAY! you guys are soo right about the new astroboy! 80s is soooo much better! heres to hoping its like that and they dont make his hands waaay too big for his shoulders like in the new one! lol, can’t wait!
