I like the fresh take on the Vampire genere that this film offers. I really hope it doesn’t suck as we get enough of that now.

I normally hate vampire movies. They’ve come out with so many in like the past 2 months it’s ridiculous. They never do them right. Just look at Twili… i’m not even gonna finish that.

But this movie looks like it’s gonna take vampires and actually show what would happen. It looks very good.

That’s not comparable.

Crime is based in reality and cops/lawyers are real people.

Vampires are one specific fictional monster-type being over-used everywhere.

Oh, and just from this one list, there are 80+ TV Shows/Movies featuring vampires coming out/already out from 2009-2011.

Not to nitpick, but how do two TV vampire shows count as over-abundance — particularly compared to fifty or so crime dramas? And how many vampire-themed Hollywood films have come out this year? I can only think of two.

Daybreakers > Twilight.

And daybreakers is actually R-rated,the rating for all vampire films, when compared to the bordom which is twilight.Another way of putting it is that this will be a more manly vampire film and hopefully this film will be better that some of the movies in the blade trilogy-unlikely though, but the new take on vampires is certainly fresh compared to other vampire films.
