The Last of Us Part II is a game that demands attention. Combat with other survivors requires constant awareness of one's surroundings and the grizzly infected can quickly create tense set-pieces where one wrong move could mean Ellie's demise. It all adds up to a brutal experience, but it's often a beautiful one as well. The amount of time and effort (and crunch) that Naughty Dog put into this game is astounding and the rugged terrain Ellie will have to cross in her quest for revenge is full of elegant details.

Like its predecessorThe Last of Us Part II foregrounds those details by keeping the user interface and heads-up display remarkably minimalistic. While most other games would provide a mini-map, here the player needs to pay attention to the intricate level design in order to get a feel for where to go next. This can get a little ambiguous once Ellie reaches Seattle and the level opens up and offers multiple different routes. There is, however, a handy map that can be found to make exploration a little bit easier. This guide will explain how to find the map of Seattle and how to make the most of is.

Where to Find the Seattle Map in The Last of Us Part II

Right before Ellie and Dina reach Seattle, they will pass a construction area with a job-site office trailer nearby. There's a sign that says "Road Work Ahead" right next to the trailer if there's any trouble finding it. To get the map, all the player needs to do is get off their horse and head inside the trailer to do some scavenging. The map will be in a drawer in the back of the trailer.

The map might seem rudimentary at first (it is a tourist map, after all), but it becomes awfully handy once Ellie and Dina start exploring Downtown Seattle. As they come across hints for various locations to explore, Ellie will mark them down on her map. The map can then be examined at any time by holding the touch bar, and the player can see where they haven't explored yet and how to get their easily. Once Ellie and Dina finish exploring any given area, Ellie will cross it off her map.

It's a nice touch that works to keep immersion in the world, while also allowing the player to keep track of where they need to go and what areas they haven't visited yet.
