IF the location scout would look 35 miles N, NW of Hollywood, they would find on Soledad Canyon Rd Elephants and other animals on the same location Daktari was filmed years ago. That whole area has been used for African scenes for years, as is another location about 50 miles N, NW of L.A., in the Fillmore area. I think this Africa issue might smell like some 'in-fighting', or their overpaid location scout is not doing their job!!! But that's just my take, without knowing all the details.
