Tonight’s first season finale of V has the safety of the human race hanging in the balance. Although, as ABC recently made the decision to save V while canceling FlashForward, all eyes are now on this 80s sci-fi remake to affirm ABC’s decision to keep the series around – for one more season, at least.

This past season, the fifth column was forced to not only battle the invading Visitors, but also lengthy breaks between airings. As the resistance grew, Anna took the offense and gave birth to a new V army. With the help of newsman Chad Decker, the Visitors were able to convince the human race that, like E.T., they come in peace.

Luckily, FBI Agent Erica Evans wasn’t convinced and with the help of a priest, an outlaw and a renegade V (insert walking into a bar joke here), they become one of the Visitors’ most formidable opponents. Unfortunately, while Erica is leading the charge to bring down the Visitors, her son Tyler started dating Anna’s daughter, Lisa. Despite lizard blood flowing through Lisa’s veins, her relationship with Tyler has changed her as she is now able to feel human emotions. Will she be become the greatest weapon for the resistance?

In the season finale of V, Val’s water breaks while she and Ryan are being chased by a V soldier, Erica is out to destroy Anna’s incubating army and Chad finally realizes that he has been used by the Visitors.

Buckle in, because the first season finale of V is upon us.

Unfortunately, ABC decided that they would not make the V season finale available in advanced to the press. So, I shall be watching it as it airs tonight. Fear not, the review will be up soon. 1. V finale was excellent in my opinion. Things really seemed to come together, and Anna is clearly losing it!. Can’t wait to see where they take this.

  2. I thought the finale, and the entire season, was very good.

  3. Amazing finale!

  4. I thought the season as a whole seemed very slow sometimes, and a longg mid season break after only 4 stinkin episodes certainly didn’t help it. The finale was good tho. Kinda gave me chills when Anna had her first emotion. So, I’m assuming the cats outta the bag now, all those extra ships just showing up outta nowhere, and turning the sky red for some reason, lets see her play politics and explain this as remaining at peace.

  5. Fun it was, yes. If only all US television was this good, all would be well, yes….

  6. Excellent I want more of V can’t wait intil season 2 comes I will be watching and hope the series never ends. i like the 80′s version to I have the entire series and i will be collection the new series to. Keep V comming and let it never end.

  7. Man she was mad wasnt she? lol I wish EVERY episode was like that. So now we all know they can create episodes that keep you on the edge of your seat, lets hope they can do that more often next season.

  8. V’s season finale was AWESOME! My favourite moment in the finale was when Anna encounters her first human emotion… “Aaah! What is happening to me?”. Just loved it. Looking forward to the next season.

  9. Sorry to disagree with everyone. I was initially taken with V. However during the long gaps between episodes I lost interest and stopped watching. Last night I watched the season finale.
I apparently hadn’t missed much of anything by not watching. While it was interesting, it did not stir me to start watching V again.

  10. The finale was super! And now we must wait until mid-season, yet another huge gap in viewing that may impact the ratings. If the show can maintain the writing of the finale, I will keep watching.

Anna’s display of emotional pain, as in any mother, was awesome. And seeing my favourite doctor taken down, but then brought back *insert big smile here*……everything just fell into place in this episode.

    Loved it!

  11. the finale was awesome i love this show and a huge fan of the oringal. hope they come back i love when anna’s daugther smiled at seeing her in pain

  12. I’m loving the show myself and the finale was great too.

  16. Thought the finale was really good last night (in uk). Whoever plays the part of Anna is playing her part very well! As a big fan of the original mini-series, i’ve been REALLY impressed with season 1. Shame we didn’t get to see the lizard baby though eh ;-)… Looking forward to seeing where they take the story in season 2…. can’t wait.

  17. Very good. Best thing on telly. I never get time to watch the TV, but this time I did. Awaiting series 2; now back to work……………. :-(

  18. Like the V serie. When do they start to send the next season?

  19. bring back V they return to tv this fall 2010 i want to see what happens on the mother ship with the lady who was pregnant with a alien baby after its birth and with others on earth is it war with alien visitors or ?? it should back on and it would make me feel all ready for action when it does come back on tv i hope so really do
