  1. Considering how much Team Abrams went out of their way to reboot in such an elaborate fashion with the time-line being changed and their ability to go in any direction humanly possible from here on, to turn around and say, “Eh…let’s just reboot Khan?”

Yeah. That’s lazy. Be prepared for reports painting trouble internally a la Spider-Man 3, X-Men 3, etc. If everything was hunky-dory on all fronts, it wouldn’t be taking this long for the sequel to a very popular/well-received tentpole like Star Trek to come together, gentlemen.

  2. sorry if this has been asked before, but how dod you guys come up with the music for these podcasts? it’s an interesting choice, sounds very outer space-esque, if you get my meaning

    • A friend of the show makes them for us – since none of us are particularly musically inclined.

      • That is not true… I play a wicked pan flute.

        • Lol!

  3. Good Episode
After last weeks podcast, I saw the first 4 episodes of The League and I have to say that I also enjoyed them, really funny show.

Hope to be able to hear those unaired episodes that you guys were talking about.

And dont worry Anthony I also dont like Batman.

  4. The anthony batman speech was epic and hilarious:)

  5. Haha… What is this Batman thing? I don’t remember talking about Batman.

    • Kofi’s comment about watching the world burn is from The Dark Knight!

  6. I don’t think we should hit the panic button with Del Toro pulling out of Star Trek. Remember that Viggo Mortensen wasn’t cast in LOTR until production had actually started, and he was absolutely amazing

  7. Random Thoughts….
1 – Please release the Green Lantern Review. It sounds hilarious.
2 – Kofi’s Dark Knight monologue to Anthony was classic and I was laughing out loud.
3 – My summer pick was Capatin America just above X-Men. IMO from start to finish it was better than the rest.
4 – I think Dexter is down right terrible this season. I don’t want to spoil it but it’s been very flat and you could see the twists coming a mile away.
5 – You all should catch up on Homeland. It’s a great show. I tell friends that it’s 24 but with a brain.

    • I think Dexter has been just fine this season. Not great but fine. I didn’t see the twist coming and I’m a pretty smart guy. I find the way they’re looking at religion/spirituality as a was for Dexter to tame his ‘Dark Passenger’ to be pretty interesting. I also think the subplots with Deb have actually been good this season and I think they’re usually the worst part of the show.

I’m not so sure that Homeland has much of a brain. I think motivations they’ve laid are just as ridiculous as anything 24. My question is will Homeland go all in the way 24 did when they nuked LA?

  8. There’s a big misconception that Anthony Ocasio is the funny one. As long as I keep winning these box office battles, I will expose his communist anarchistic beliefs.

    • Maybe after another 10 or so victories – we can release an EP of your speeches.

  9. Did you guys do a test taping for other summer movies like Super 8, Cowboys and Aliens, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes? I’d be interested in hearing what you guys thought about some of those.

    • I believe we did Thor, Harry Potter, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Green Lantern, Fright Night, Captain America, Transformers 3… probably a few others.

  10. What if there’s a Tie and the tie breaker doesn’t break the tie? Do both winners get final say?

    • In this case, it would default to Rob – since he never wins…

      • Woah just saw this. When this podcast had one, by points I think I was near the top. right now, I’ve won like 8 of the last 10, so I’m the champ!

  11. Green Latern has -1%; how do you get a negative percentage on votings?

    • Kofi’s been messing with the background coding. JK – Not sure how that happened either…

      • Glitch, I suppose. It’s showing 0% for me right now. It has no votes in the poll when I check the admin side.

  12. Can’t agree that Serkis deserves an Oscar nomination for pretty much the same reason that Ben (I think) laid out. Serkis just ran around a sound stage in a tights with some wires on them. Obviously there was more to it than that but tt was the effects teams job to make what he did come to life. To make it look like a real ape and intigrate seemlessly into the movie. Do we truly know how much of what we saw was actually Serkis and how much was enhanced by the effects team?
