Very odd. Isn’t it normal operating procedure to decrease your DNS TTL to almost nothing and wait out the current TTL to avoid these very issues? I’d definitely agree a change of hosting companies is in order if they’re unwilling to do it. However, if you have control over your domain and have access to a registry that allows you to make your own DNS entries, you could certainly circumvent their approach.

LOL, dude… EXACTLY. You think they would have known to do that. Unfortunately although I’m somewhat computer savvy, I wasn’t aware of that little trick.

I’m angry that THEY didn’t employ it. :-\
