Screen Rant Underground: Episode 210 – Screen Rant Podcasting Phase 2
Listen to a special message from Ben and Rob (above), with special guest Andrew Dyce, regarding Phase 2 in Screen Rant podcasting. Find out where to catch the new podcast and what we have planned (more on that below)!
A lot has changed since Kofi, Rob, Anthony, and I started the Screen Rant Underground podcast back in 2011. We had an incredible run – filled with friendly (albeit heated) fights, inside jokes, and even a few fast food item reviews. However, as the site evolved and talented new writers joined our ranks, we started feeling that a major overhaul of the Screen Rant podcast was due.
The departure of Kofi and Anthony made it all the more apparent, if the Screen Rant team was going to return for another round of podcasting – we needed a fresh start. As a result, the Screen Rant Underground has been put to rest – to preserve the show as a time capsule of our personal and professional growth over the course of five years. We appreciate all of the listeners, our friends, that journeyed with us through 209 episodes and hope you’ll continue that journey with Rob and me into “Phase 2.”
So, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to Total Geekall.
We’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on the lessons we learned in our first podcast, and have attempted to apply that feedback for an even better podcast experience with Total Geekall. It’s a new podcast, with a new format, covering new topics – and we hope listeners (old and new) will give it shot.
You can check out the first episode, below (after you listen to the SRU goodbye at the top of the page):
Total Geekall is the unofficial-official podcast of the ScreenRant.com editors. Hosted by Ben Kendrick, Rob Keyes, Andrew Dyce, and Hannah Shaw-Williams, Total Geekall is a fun discussion of the biggest movie, TV, video game, and geek-friendly topics of the week. Serving everyone from casual viewers to hardcore film nerds.
That said, as with any good program, Total Geekall is a work-in-progress. We’ll be taking feedback over the coming weeks and months in order to put out the most informative and entertaining show we can – since you all deserve the best.
We wanted to make good on our promise: to return with a Deadpool movie podcast. Given the timely nature of the episode, it may take a few days to get everything setup with iTunes (update: the show should be available now on iTunes at the following URL – http://bit.ly/geekall) and Stitcher. As we wait for podcast directories to update, you can follow us @TotalGeekall on Twitter and on Facebook – as well as contact us here at Screen Rant or via the e-mail: Questions@TotalGeekall.com.
As always, make sure to check out our work at ScreenRant.com for entertainment news, reviews, and editorials.
