It may seem like we just went through a redesign, but that was not only not that different from the one before, but was purely cosmetic. This time we’ve gutted it and moved it to a completely different platform. We will be adding features that I’ve wanted to offer you for a long time but haven’t had the ability to implement.
I just pulled an all nighter so the site is up but no bells and whistles beyond the new look yet. If you were subscribed to comments on posts, you’ll need to re-subscribe to continue to get updates on those.
There will no doubt be lots of little buggy issues and if you find any please let us know about them by either leaving a comment here or shooting me and email via the contact page.
I hope you folks like the new design and I’ll alert you as new features come online.

It went all nice and smooth as I can see for now. The notice was well done. The redesign is not too shockingly different, but just same old and nicer. Nice job!

Holy Cow, I knew 790 was chatty but geesh.
hey Vic,
I like the new design with the categories up there, and most importantly that you kept the screenrant ‘feel’.
One quick thing I noticed, With the buttons up top, maybe you can have a ‘main’ or general ‘news’ button that takes you back to the main page other than the screenrant logo which is not included in the menu bar. Maybe that’s not necessary I guess, but I was a little confused when i went to TV news then realized there was no button to get back to the main page until i tried the logo.

Site looks great, Vic. Same feel as the old one, but it looks more modern and streamlined.

All looks pretty good so far. Wondered why no more emails on the comments, so came looking and wayhey! New and cool.

Just want to add that the post went up a lot quicker this time. Oh, and the site looks crisper.
Great streamline! But in version 2.5 please, can you permanently disable the Male Jeans Crotchal Cutoff Closeup feature?
LOL, yeah, that image was one of those I paused and thought about – but it TOTALLY fits the movie.

I like that the author’s name appears at the very beginning of each post. That way when I see one by 790 or Kahless I can skip to the next one.
these are all details but i bet you went back & forth on variations before settling (or tossing a coin) on what you arrived at.
the colors look great. i like that black isn’t “full bleed,” but there are brown boundaries.
not so sure i like the small yellow text on black too often. larger, bolder yellow looks better with black (example “Recent Entries”)
what’s the {wd;} at the bottom right of this page? (opposite of the copyright) do i win a prize?
i like the movie titles in lowercase.
i like the alternating grey on black fill.
i like the narrow bar to the left of the messages.
Love the new look Vic. Glad to see your choice in cms also, i think you will love it.
If you need any help with the technical aspects i have been coding with wp since 1.0 and am more than willing to help in any way I can.

Way to go Vic, I love the stills with the flash player above it. A potential space and work saver I bet. I’t makes the site potentially easier to navigate too. The new way comments are presented is easier on the eyes and we got real smileys now.

For Vic. I like the Hulk movie page, I do think it needs a standard-size pic beside the title, like one of the posters for the movie. That way you can have a standard pic size and frame for it for each movie page you do.

Took 35min to load on my Blackberry 8800.

Took another 35min to load for comment.
(Nice to see I still have enemies, ah good times.)
And now I see the comment box is smaller too?
Ouch all around.
I hope these things get worked out. Alot of us busy Hollywood types use our Blackberries and this kinda delay is not gonna work.
For a BB,8800 model I can’t believe this is happening? Its like a bad M Kinght film.
Anyone else out ther have a Blackberry and have any probs? I’m gonna look on my end and see if I can fix this.
