  1. How much of the ending was close to what was on the graphic novel?
P.S. I had a blast watching this movie.

      • I think Edgar Wright and Michael Bacall did great on the screenplay even without the last edition of the graphic novel. I was never a huge fan of Envy so I didn’t mind not seeing her so much in the end.

I was a little disappointed by the lack of Kim Pine. I adore Alison Pill and would have liked to see her more. Although Clifton Collins, Jr. was a great surprise.

        • I was never a fan of Envy either and I definetly agree with you on the lack of Kim, SP vs. The Animation does dive into her back story abit more however…apparently there was a different ending shown at SDCC, where Scott ends with Knives instead….

  2. vegan police FTW

    • ya gotta love it when the Punisher comes in to take away his powers!!

      • I went nuts when he showed up. :-)

  3. THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING!!!!

    That is all.

    • Yh, it is!

  4. scott pilgrim 2 please^^ when it said continue? at the end i was pushing START on my imaginary control LOL! :D

  5. Yes, Warren was my favorite character.
I have not read any of the books – I’m not much of a comic reader, though I enjoy comic characters.
When he stole Scott’s – sisters – boyfriend, Jimmy & she screamed “not again”… does that mean she dates a lot of gay guys, or that Warren just has more charisma than her ? lol I don’t know, but I LOVE quiet humor like that.
Then when the 4 of them pop up in bed together….. OMG – funny! (Scott, Warren, Other Scott, & Jimmy)
I think Michael Cera has a lot of potential (Jeez, he’s only 22!)
It’s interesting to have him as an “action hero” type, what with him kicking butt in the video-game-action scenes. It kinda took me by surprise that he was doing so well – he just jumped in w/ Matt Patel & started really holding his own.
There WAS the running thread that Knives was too cool for him – so he’s SUPPOSED to be a wienie!
This is my FAVORITE movie this week! (maybe even until “Deathly Hallows” comes out)

    • Kieran Culkin’s character is called Wallace Wells.

  6. “HE HIT THE HIGHLIGHTS RIGHT OUT OF HER HAIR!”

    And Nega-Scott’s the best!! Haha

  7. Vic made a comment in his review about Scott’s learning point:

“While this is a story of a boy learning to become a man and take responsibility for his actions, the “learning moment” seemed pale instead of defining, and not something that was life changing in a deeply significant way.”

I have less of a problem with that aspect as I don’t see this as a boy learning to become a man. I just see Scott realizing he did something wrong and will now attempt to fix his mistakes.

Like when you die on SuperMario Bros. or LEGO Star Wars: you go back to the start of the level (for Scott Level 1 outside the club), you already know what expect so you fly through the lesser action (getting more coins if possible) and doing the opposite of what you did the first time around to achieve a different result.

With how game-like this movie is I found it refreshing that Wright took that kind of stance. If Scott had a true learning moment that could’ve come off as a major cliche and probably a bit anti-climatic.

  8. NANCY
Deathly Hallows will be the best movie out this year :)

    • I doubt it will beat Inception.

      • Money-wise it might, but not cinematically-wise.

  9. The funniest part for me is when Scott wants to break up with Knives and she shows up at his house, he jumps out (looks like he flew :-) ) the window. The theater went nuts with laughter.

  10. I agree! This film is so worth watching!!! ;-D
