  1. Lego Miley actually has better curves.

    • HA!

    • My thoughts exactly! Lol!

  2. The School of Rock reunion was freaking awesome.

  3. Weird how JB never seems to age.

My fave Sherlock is RDJ, hands down.

I also have to comment on TDKR/Notebook thing because while it’s funny, I’ve adored the “Bane Pilkington” videos that use Karl Pilkington soundbites with clips of Bane.

    “Congress tart!”

  4. i was surprised at no CBS version of Holmes & Watson.

    • I guess it was showing the most well known adaptions because the earlier British productions weren’t mentioned either.

To many, Basil Rathbone will always be THE quintessential Sherlock Holmes but I think RDJ plays the character’s eccentricities perfectly, without showing Sherlock’s addictions to heroin and other opiates like in the books.

      • I love RDJ’s Sherlock Holmes, I think he captures Doyle’s original version quite well.

The books themselves are very educational in very hidden ways. My favorite, “The Hound of the Baskervilles”, changed the way I looked at things drastically, as did “A Study in Scarlet”.

        • “Hound” is one of my favourite books ever.

I remember reading it as a 10 year old and thinking “this is absolute genius”. Might have to try and get another copy but yeah, the way Doyle uses foreshadowing and then reveals the clues is just brilliant.

The only other writer to have the effect on me that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle did was HP Lovecraft.

          • Indeed.

It’s a story that makes you go, “You know, now that I think about it, what Holmes is explaining DOES make sense.”

I bought the collection of Doyle’s Holmes stories a couple of years ago, it was in this huge brown book with gold rimmed pages titled “The Complete Sherlock Holmes”.

Wasn’t very expensive and although the print feels crammed onto the page a little too often, it’s still a fun catch-up to everything else you might’ve missed out while looking for Doyle’s books. The way it all ends is quite fitting and almost makes it seem as though both John Watson and Sherlock Holmes could’ve been real people.

  5. I can’t believe it has been 10 years since School or Rock. Tempus Fugit!

  6. BBC’s shelock is the best in my oppion but RDJ’s version is still one of my favorite movies

    • Agreed. Cumberbatch is so much better than RDJ, in my opinion. I actually don’t like the theatrical version because the BBC show is so good.

      • Cumberbatch is suited for a modern Holmes.

I prefer a character like Sherlock Holmes to be part of his own time, only because the history of that time is much more intriguing to see Holmes discover things we see or use today.

        • Ill say luther is a better british tv show. But nothint against sherlock its splendid
