A member of the Facebook group Marvel Movies! has provided the internet world with our very first look at Scarlett Johansson in costume as Black Widow in Iron Man 2.

Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff is an intelligence operative and in the comics, she first meets Iron Man when she was ordered to take out the creator of the Soviet Crimson Dynamo armor. Perhaps that storyline is worked into the sequel with Mickey Rourke’s Whiplash suit. My guess is that Rourke will have the full armor later in the movie and maybe that’ll be called Crimson Dynamo.
When Scarlett was announced as Black Widow, there was some concern from fans about her selection. Some thought she wasn’t fit for the role, but those concerns started to vanish later when updates about her workout regiment came out online along with some photos of her sporting the red hair.
If these latest images of Johansson are any indication, I think fans will be happy.
The image of Mickey Rourke as Whiplash isn’t new though, as Screen Rant posted that up in early June. As for the ones of Robert Downey Jr., we’ve not seen before though and he’s looking good in costume as always.
With Iron Man 2 having a major presence at next weeks Comic-Con, we’ll no doubt get some much better official images of her sporting the red hair and black leather suit very soon. In my opinion, she actually looks pretty good.

looks like they pasted Downey’s face on there.
Scarlett is not a convincing actress.She was sweet in Lost in Translation but I think they are using her mostly as a celeb model for cosmetic promos and clothing and by the time she hits 30 she will be winding down.Shes tries to do do too much like singing which was a total disaster and now she is making peanuts for this IM2 role.I think its 350k and Rourke isnt much higher.She can’t decide if shes an actress or spokeswoman.I can just imagine this girl doing a Russian Accent.Besides Russian women are much taller than she is.
I’m not an SJ fan and I think she is ok looking,certainly no Megan Fox but shes ok.I think she looks much better with her reddish brown hair than the corpse blonde.That was scarry.After all she is Jewish I’m told so she may as well look like many of her people.

GRRR why did they cast her i’m so not goin to see this film now lol, they should of had Mila jyvovich, kate beckinsale or Eliza dushku or even Emily Blunt and i bet theirs heaps more people better suited. scarlett is a terrible pick its just coza her fame status she got it i bet.
To me she’s waaay hotter then Megan Fox and i’m pretty sure the movie is going to be good enough to the point where it wouldn’t bother you as much if she did mess up or something.That is if you don’t go into the movie just thinking… why is she even in the movie instead of just enjoying it but maybe that’s just me… i know i could care less about her accent or even acting whilst she has that suit on… or anything that’s “revealing” as well.

SJ is decent looking, but I think Gwyneth is hotter as far as her costume hair and make up goes when playing pepper potts.

In most of the superhero genre movies there always could be a better pick but ususally you have to go with a balance of what will sell and what you can get. Besides that, the best Black Widow would’ve been if they could’ve made this thing about 8 years ago and got Famke Jansen for the role. She has the size and can do the accent and either the long OR short haircut.

i like scarlett johasson as as black widow on iron man 2 she’s cool and awsome i like scarett johasson she’s pretty hott and sexy i like her anyway so i will see iron man 2 in theatres may 7th 2010 see ya
scarlett looks extactly like Black Widow from the comics or something..
