While The Dark Knight Rises prologue is wowing people in theaters – or in some cases, confusing the heck out of them with Bane’s garbled growls – we’re still waiting for the second real trailer for The Avengers.
When asked by MTV Splash Page if she was concerned she wouldn’t get enough screen-time, she said:
“There are a lot of people to serve in [‘The Avengers’], for sure. The Widow has a great story. I think Joss did a great job of weaving together all these characters’ stories. It was no small feat for him.”
Hmm. Seems like a pretty run-of-the-mill company line, unfortunately.
However, Scarlett admits that she’s yet to see the final product and has no idea how much of her work will remain on the cutting room floor:
“You never know in a big film like this. There could be six hours squashed down in 90 minutes or whatever it’s going to be, and you wonder what might be sacrificed.”
Asked if she plays a role in Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 – which Robert Downey Jr. said has the best screenplay he has read in years – Scarlett said:
“I have no idea. I don’t know if I can get that latex suit on after the finishing ‘Avengers.’ I might have to take a break from the latex suit for a minute, eat some real cheese, and then get back into it.”
Frankly, some people wouldn’t be too nonplussed by Scarlett Johansson’s lack of participation in the Iron Man threequel. Her part in Iron Man 2 is largely considered to be one of the worst aspects of that film, in spite of a great many underwhelming aspects.
What about you, Screen Ranters? Do you want to see Scarjo in Iron Man 3? And are you looking forward to seeing her play the Black Widow in The Avengers? Let us know in the comments.
