I think that putng a plot in them is the only reason they’re not crap. If it was just people getting ripped apart it would be like a rental for halloween movie nights and nothing else

The first Saw was without a doubt IMO the best horror movie i’ve ever seen. It had a solid and creative plot and the ending was insane. Saw 2 was… Saw 2. Not anything special, but the ending was even better than the first. Saw 3 was disgusting, but i liked how they played Amanda into the whole thing. Saw 4 was just a big mindf***. It took place during the time of Saw 3 which i thought was cool when you found that out at the end. The traps were pretty neat though. It’s kind of scary how people can come up with stuff like that lol. And Saw 5, IMO, was pretty good. It followed the plot and left me going “For real??? No way???” at the end. It wasn’t completely shocking, but i still didn’t expect it.

As weird as it is, i’m looking forward to Saw 6. So far they’ve been going strong.

I couldn’t disagree with you more, Paul. Saw is quite possibly the best and cleverest horror franchise ever. It has a complex and intertwining storyline, as well as great characters, great morals (at least in the first three), and amazing suspense. It has a higher number of decent sequels than any other horror franchise (Halloween only had three good films, Nightmare On Elm Street had only three good films, Friday The 13th had only two good films, etc)

Saw- A brilliant and fresh take on the horror genre
Saw II- A suspenseful thrill ride
Saw III- An excellent (and at times depressing) character study
Saw IV- Entertaining, fun, creative traps
Saw V- Weakest in the series, but much better made than IV (as in better script/better cinematography) and also very interesting. I really liked the cat and mouse angle of the film, and the ending is mindblowingly intense.

saw2=god
saw3=good (my opinion)
saw4=good
saw5= it was alrght

for me the saw films are good becouse im a fan of the series. becouse i know that almost every body hated saw5 and think that the whole saw films are stupid. but the saw films worked for me. becouse im falliwing the story. its like saw is a tv show now couse every episode leads to somthing importent for the next episode. like a cliff hanger. but ya im looking forwerd to saw6 becouse im just faliwing the story. so its just, the movies work for me

I can’t believe they’re going to make ANOTHER Saw film! Before too long they won’t even be put into theaters, they’ll just be straight to DVD and exclusively at Blockbuster.

Jaws had a few squels as well. In Back to the Future 2 (isn’t that movie set right around now?) they had a 3-D shark attack Marty from Jaws 19(?)
