ya know what? Sandy Collora’s shorts were OKAY. the acting was hammy and just plain bad… but that DOESN’T mean he couldn’t do much better with a bigger budget. i think it’d be nice to see him get a shot… but not with a name like supes or bats. maybe ww or captain marvel would fit him better… that way if he screws up he’s not stomping any big names into the ground any more than they have been before. well, you’ve all heard about Grayson and Sandy’s stuff… but here’s a weird little fan film w/ Batman, Robin, and Superman that I wasn’t sure what to think at first after watching. After a minute, I watched the WHOLE thing again and I just about busted my gut laughing. Go to ifilm. com and check out “The Eyeball Papercuts”. this guy is gonna be good. he makes something out of nothing and i can’t wait for more.

I think we should thank Sandy for doing what the rest of us just talk about. That’s give the fans a look at what a man with a true talent of movie making and just a few dollars can do. Sandy has caught the true grit of film making without millions of dollars to spend and made a truly good film.

I couldn’t say, haven’t heard the Spidey II music in a while, and the music from the two Spidey films wasn’t the type that sticks in your head…

Does anyone know the names of the music used in the trailer — the themes from the superman and batman movies are there, of course, but when Lois says to Superman, it would be nice to see you again, the music that starts there is very exciting – -does anyone know what mucis that is – -where it is from?

I have been handling Sandy Collora as a director for many years now. He joined my company with nothing more than a couple of spec spots and a short film. Within 2 minutes of meeting this guy, it was obvious that he’s the Real Deal. There is NO other director as passionate about film making than Sandy. Regardless of anyone’s view on the characters, or even the films themselves, his passion is simply overwhelming. As many are writing all over the world (I get all of the emails), it is a shame that the majors [studios] haven’t taken real notice yet. They keep putting out these less-than-average films that, in my opinion, insult the real comic book fans.

Thanks to everyone for their support. I do hope that Sandy’s films create a passion in everyone.

Overall, pretty cool. Luthor was by far the standout in that one. Batman still had the “Dark Knight” quality. I don’t know what Collora was going for with Superman/Clark Kent. He looked plenty strong, but he also looked like he wouldn’t know who’s buried in Grant’s Tomb. The trailer had its cheesy moments (some of Clark/Superman’s one-liners were lame), but even the $100 million productions have their cheesy moments.

Overall, well done, especially for such a low budget. Warner Bros. ought to seriously considering hiring this guy as a director. Since he’s only done short films, we don’t really know how he handles character development, but he’s excellent with mood and ambience. He’s a safer bet than the music video and “Got Milk” directors who keep getting hired in lieu of the really talented directors.

I’ll repeat what I said in the other discussion, Sandy Collora is doing what any fan should enjoy doing, paying homage to his favorite characters.

All I can say is ‘wow’. I liked the World’s Finest.

O’Hearn is nice as Superman, as Clark Kent, he could be a little more meager. He’s no (warning, this will set off your ‘well DUH!’ reflex) Chris Reeves but a few acting lessons and maybe he could be more convincing as Kent.

I gotta give SC another 4/4 stars, and I hope he keeps making more of these. …if Warner Bro’s will let him.
