According to a Variety story on an unrelated movie, one of the films listed as those that Samuel L. Jackson has recently completed working on includes Iron Man. It’s a minor detail tucked away at the very end of the article.
Jackson has been rumored to be playing Nick Fury, a hard-boiled ex-military man who runs S.H.I.E.L.D., a worldwide counter-terrorism and intelligence agency for months. The acronym stands for:
Strategic Hazard Intervention, Espionage and Logistics Directorate
Some folks have been up in arms about his casting because he seems to be based on the Marvel Ultimates Universe version of Nick Fury instead of the regular Marvel Comics universe. As it happens, the Ultimates version of Nick Fury was modeled after Sam Jackson, so now the circle is complete.
Thanks to Scott for his sharp eye.

More topping for this sweet mega-buster called Ironman!
Alright, more good news. As for all the hating on the Ultimate Universe, whats the go with that?
I’m not a particular fan of it, especially when it comes to Iron Man. Although Captain America is pretty cool in it.

I strongly dislike the Ultimate IM design and concept, but most of the other characters (ex:Hulk, Wolverine, Cap, and Nick) I really like.
Cool! This is the only Ultimate character I like!
