    I always thought Sam was destined for big things seeing him in aussie movies. He is very down-to-earth, is serious about the work, doesn't believe the hype, and wants to keep getting better and better. He's also pretty damn funny.

    He stole the show in T4. I can't wait for Avatar, it looks epic.

    And McG is not a great director, he is very much style over substance. And if Sam is challenging him to get the best out of himself and make his future projects better, then that is great imo, tells you he cares about it, and isn't just phoning it in.

    @ogb,

    I think he's referring to Captain Nemo.

    I'm really liking Sam so far, he's cool.

    A white guy into an indian guy?

    Not sure I follow...
  • Josh R
    @ogb

    Yes, but not even great directors can turn a white guy into an indian guy.

    I also find it funny that he goes on IMDB. You see posts on that site all the time about how the actors/directors/writers never look at anything they have to say, when more and more of them keep admitting they do.

    @ Nass

    I think he's 100% right about McG. You'll see GREAT directors cast no names or c list actors and get AMAZING performances out of them. Tarantino is one of those directors. It happens from time to time and you'll hear an actor say that the director brought out the best out of him/her. You'll never hear a good actor bringing out the best in a director though.

    Too bad McG is not one of those directors. If it wasn't for Bale and Worthington, T: Salvation would've been one of the worst movies of the year. As it stand right now, it's just average.

    I'm starting to like this Worthington guy. Like others said, he's honest. I hope that he doesn't burn any bridges with that honesty though. Hollywood does not value honesty, loyalty, etc.

    Love his comment about McG and movie plot holes. Made me laugh.
  • I enjoyed T4, and thought his acting was great, but thats comparing to Bale's pathetic performance.
  • Nass
    LOL what's up with Worthington's last comment? If the director doesn't think he has the qualities for a character, and another actor does, why would the director waste time on bringing out qualities which he doesn't know the actor has. McG's not there to do Sam personal favours but to get the right guy for the role.

    F bomb here f bomb there! He sounds like he doesn't like McG.

    If there is another terminator I'm sure they will find a way for him to be in it.

    "You're truly the vulgarian aren't you?"
    "You're the vulgarian, you f&^%&!"

    That's from "A Fish Called Wanda", if you didn't know. :-D

    He does use the F-bombs quite a bit, doesn't he?

    The more interviews I read the more I like him. I'm really looking forward to Avatar and Clash of the Titans.

    And on the Terminator front--I enjoyed TS but it was a little disappointing. I would like to see if McG could redeem himself if he made Terminator 5. But that remains to be seen (legal issues pending).

    I liked terminator salvation, but I dont see what all the hype about thsi guy is, his acting wasn't anything spectacular.
  • Andy S
    Seems like a pretty down-to-earth guy as far as Hollywood actors go.

    On another note, why on EARTH would Disney let McG anywhere NEAR one of it's tentpole films?? The man (according to many) screwed up Terminator: Salvation AND he's responsible for the Charlie's Angels monstrosities. I have no idea why Disney, who has a pretty damn good track record with family films, let a hack like McG anywhere near their films.

    He sounds cool, very honest which is nice as long as he doesn't go out of his mind.

    I'd like to see him in more movies. He certainly wasn't the reason why Terminator: Salvation wasn't as good as it could be - in fact, I thought he stole the show from Bale in a lot of ways.
