I won’t watch this. Period. I love Spider-Man, and I’ve been with him since the beginning…but this? No…all the actors for the main characters are replaced, except for Mary Jane, and Peter is going BACK to school? Yikes! No way am I watching this. Sorry! NO WAY!

Please, just don’t make Spider-man a whiny loser again! For once I want to see a Spidey film that even vaguely relates to the comic books!

As for villains, I think it’s high time we saw the Lizard. I mean, we have seen Dr. Connors in all three films so i’m kinda expecting that to happen.

also it would be cool if for a while Peter forgot about this ridiculous obsession with MJ (which has nothing to do with the comic books) and paid some attention to Gwen Stacy.

Now THAT would be a great time to introduce professor warren (aka The Jackal) and have some nice clone wars

Alright lizey did alot of work on Sm3 so I decided to have Lizard and Kraven since they have quite a story together that can fit.

am i the only one who is looking for the one shot villian from the 70′s hypno-techno? COME ON! he would hypontize people with cheesy disco tunes and rob them at the clubs…instead of useing the hynoptizeing music to sell…like a zillion singles..

Alright i`d rather see Lizard alone with no Scorpion if they don`t have enough energy to keep doing multiple villains even though of course he isn`t more powerful alone as one villain than that team of 3 villains from the previous film. But guys Carnage has to be in Sm5 because Spiderman has to face his biggest challenge in the final film, and so not doing any more symbiotes wouldn`t make it a story. If they`re not gonna do any more symbiote films why did they ever use Venom? People keep saying that they can`t translate them onto the screen greatly, but guys it CAN work because they`re still SPIDERMAN villains even though they`re wicked powerful and all. All the villain creators have ways of balancing the stories with these villains, they all have ways of contributing them to the plots of them fighting Spiderman accurately. If they can do the designing right then i think they should be able to get the shots right somehow, in every actual fiction movie they have techniques of making it look real on screen. I guess it depends on whether or not they think it`s worth doing the work on that villain. Oh, wait, you guys said he isn`t a fan of the symbiotes cuz he`s not familiar with them? Well, i bet if he understood every villain well then he wouldn`t really mind any of them. I don`t think he HATES them, if he doesn`t UNDERSTAND them than that must be the only reason why he didn`t want to use Venom. Venom is not the reason why Spiderman 3 wasn`t as good as you cvould`ve expected, it`s the fact that he was squeezed with 2 other villains, that`s why.

Oh, and about a 6th SM film, look at all the facts, obviously doing 6 movies wouldn`t be a good idea, even though it`s SPIDERMAN, still, i don`t think doing 6 movies would be necessary.

The reason why the one villain per movie thing won’t work anymore is because spidermans allready faced 3 villains in one film. Going back to one villain will be like him facing an easier threat, and it will seem like a step down. I do agree though, that one villain thing worked well in the first two, but when you look it Peter was dealing wiht other things aswell. The firstone was about him becoming spiderman. The second was about the developement in the love sotry between Peter and Mj, and also the developemnt of Harry looking for spiderman. This worked well, because we had a story and a villain for each film. And with the third one they were on the right track, with Peter getitng the black suit and having to face his inner demons. I think this was a great story only problem. Villain overload!!!. 3 villains plus this story was way to much, not to mention the new love interest Gwen stacy. SO I don’t think only one villain will make the 4th film better. Unles we have a great new story to back it up.

They suffer from the same mistakes as all film makers do in these situations. Ever since Batman Returns, they thought the formula to a successful superhero movie had to include multiple villains. In my opinion, they need to go back to one villain per movie and leave it at that. Iron Man and Incredible Hulk prove it.

I think that Sam raimi did a great job with the first two spiderman films. I think the reason why the third one was bad is because they were making the movie while still writing it. What killed the third one was the story. It’s as simple as that. I think another problem was also the blacksuit. It seemed like thay had trouble trying to fit it in or somthing. Because it didn’t show up until about an hour in the movie and then Venom didn’t show up until 20 minutes left. Which kinda confuses me. I mean these people are supposesd to be intelligent film makers. Did they think the fans would be happy to see venom for only a few minutes then kill him off. Anyway these are my villain choices for the next 3 movies.

spidey 4: Lizard and Kraven- If you think about it a story will work really well with these two as the villains.

Spidey 5: Electro and vulture– Now I don’t really know how a story would work with these two but they are great villains–

Spidey 6: Scorpion and Carnage– The reason why I picked carnage is because well him and scorpion kinda fit together. And also Scorpion isn’t really that powerful so carnage will even that out. Scorpion has a great story aswell and carnage doesnt really have one he’s kinda like the joker in the dark knight- Also there should be another character introduced like blackcat.

I know the movies probly wont go like this but i think most of these villains or maybe all of them will be introduced in the films.

Well Darren, Spiderman 3 I think is universally thought of as a let down. It seemed that Raimi had lost his touch. Apparently even he thinks that he did for that one. So I think it was only logical to think that a new creative talent might have been needed at that point. Like I said though, he has convinced me in this article to stick by him again. I believe that he can bring us back the quality of the first Spiderman again. Spiderman was certainly great but I think that you’ll get a lot of arguments from people with thinking that it was the best ever made. I think most people would side with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight for that title. Each to their own I guess.

After Spiderman 3 I wasn’t sure if I wanted Raimi to come back for another Spiderman film. I thought that maybe it’s time that a new pair of eyes with a fresh take take over the series. However, after reading this article he convinced me to give him another chance. He sounds very passionate about the character and doing the film justice. I think he can do it. So he has my support.
