She looks like she's maybe 17 years old. I believe she was up for that award and didn't win. I'm almost certain that this is her first major role in film. ^ IMO, too young, too inexperienced and she should be happy she was nominated at all. Juno as a film is nothing more than a dressed up after school special. This film was made a success by every teenage girl in America and a few Arrested Development fans. Its a fluke and a sad year for films. ^ I don't have the list right in front of me but I'm sure you can scroll down the Best Actress list and find another actress that's more deserving. The last time a under 18 year old was nominated it was Haley Joel Osment for Sixth Sense. He did a spectacular job and he didn't win.
