“My Name is Bruce” was not good, agreed, but it WAS funny. And the effort Bruce put into it… did anybody besides me watch the behind-the-scenes? He went so far as to build the “town” on his own land. Now THAT’S dedication to B-movies. lol

IMHO Bruce is getting too old to play Ash. SK47 I think has the right idea… if he came rushing in to save the day, that’s the only possible way I’d see it. A remake with a new Ash would be sacrilege.

I think if Raimi was in the captain’s seat, and they had the right script, they’d get Bruce back – He must want a role like this after doing that ‘My name is Bruce movie’ which I couldn’t even watch past 2 minutes.

No Campbell, or Raimi, and no good.
Also remake or reboot or any such thing has no interest for me.

Heard Campbell on the radio over here in the UK some weeks back and he didn’t seem keen on it. Not even sure he gave much of an answer.

If they did Evil Dead 4, properly, I’d see it. I wouldn’t have great hopes for it, but I’d see it.

That’s exactly it Vic, that campiness is key and it can only be done by Bruce Campbell.

In a reboot, it’d be someone imitating him or them going serious… I don’t think either can work.

The old story …

I LOVE the Evil Dead trilogy and respected Bruce as much as the next guy (although “My name is Bruce” sucked so bad, it was incredible… literally), but do I really want a 4th movie, just for the sake of it?

As awesome as it may sound … I think Bruce is right … we would probably end up with Indy 4.
And I don’t want to feel sick all night again.

No to a remake, unless they go in an entirely new direction but new characters and use the Necronomicon.
A fourth one? For whom? Campbell enthusiasts and fans of the trilogy (like myself) but that is only for a small fraction of movie goers. Lets be real here.
A scenario I can see, get a young hot cast and redo the original storyline from the first one with all the beats, but one of the cast members remembers a story about a guy named Ash and then bring in Campbell to fight off the demons. So, technically, you do have both a remake and a fourth installment.
