i thought the same thing. i prought it to attention in another great Post about Fox and if they were Screwing up Deadpool and if Gambit Next.

and that would be great to the story but as the Majority of us know Daken also has three retractable bone claws housed within each forearm, though their configuration and appearance is somewhat different from those of Wolverine. Two claws extend between his knuckles while the third extends from the underside of his wrists.

Adkins is a film stuntman (he has done stunts in other films and has stunt credits on IMDB), so that ties in.

It looks to me like Weapon XI (which is played by Adkins) is a ‘phase’ of Deadpool either through experiments on Wade Wilson himself or a new cloned being including powers from many mutants.

I don’t think he was always said to be that – it was rumored once but then he was listed as a separate character entirely with no official mention of him playing a stunt double.

Then there were set reports which I wrote about in a previous post that said he was on set for 12 weeks and was playing a semi-major role himself.

There’s not really confirmation either way so it’s hard to say what the connection is.
