I tried to watch Star Wars II and III again and I found out that I’m allergic to Hayden Christensen. His voice makes me shiver and I get a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach as I remember he’s not only Anakin in Star Wars II and III but VI as well and well that’s bad.

But to see him and SUPERMAN? YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME!!!!!

The boy need to have his voice tweaked or something before anyone can take him even a little bit seriously. He’s oh my lord… Something just occurred to me..

Sam Jackson and Hayden Christensen in Jumper AND STAR WARS!!!!!

Ouch…

Never mind… I feel dizzy from remembering how sick I got imaging him as Superman…

Dude I’d reather see Kevin Smith as Superman then thise clown. I’m pretty sure that Gorge Miller hasn’t lost his mind. But the way thise movie is going (it would brake my heart to say this) They should just cancel it for good.

OMFG!!! OMFG!!! OMFG!!!! WTF????!!! WTF??????!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU CAN’T BE SERIOUS!!!!!!!

I’M NOT EVEN GONNA GO INTO HOW ABSOLUTELY F******* RI******** THIS H******** IS!!!

Good God does that suck!!!!!

No way in HELL am I buying that.

Cristensen as Superman???? HAS EVERYONE LOST THEIR F******* MIND?????????

Perhaps this started on a message board somewhere? Just the other day at superherohype.com’s MB I told a dude that the actor that he suggested for Superman named Henry Cavill reminded me waaaaaaay too much of Cristensen, and while I don’t mind him in SW and I think he’s a nice guy in real life, THAT’S A BAD THING, DAMMIT!!!!

I’m gonna treat this as COMPLETE BS. ADAM Brody (who is 29), NOT ADRIAN Brody was supposedly cast as the Flash/Barry Allen, and the Flash in the film was confirmed as the youngest member in the League, so that puts the 22 year old baking soda BOY Armie Hammer as Batman RUMOR to rest, Common (who is 35) has confirmed THREE (3) times now that he was cast as Green Lantern/John Stewart in the film, and at least twice Megan Gale (who is 32) has confirmed that she was cast as Wonder Woman. Supposedly 60 year old actor Hugh Keays-Byrne, who was in Mad Max, true, but also has a carreer of playing aliens on shows like Farscape, was cast as the Martian Manhunter.

Great scott this rumor tops the list as the biggest pile of horse s*** I’ve heard about this movie thus far!

WB has not come out and confirmed anyone as Superman or Batman yet, if anything hopefully this rumor will prompt an OFFICIAL statement from WB on the film’s Superman AND Batman. I mean given how much critics and most SW fans dislike Cristensen, why in the hell would WB want him in their blockbuster franchise? Don’t they realize that SW was a success cuz of G Lucas, NOT Cristensen or Portman??

I gotta admit tho, I could see Hayden’s SW co star, Ewan McGregor as Green Arrow, we know he can at least pull off the blonde goatee look, yes? ;-)
But this BS has actually stunned me to the point of speechlessness……my post to the contrary of course.

Also, please stop refering to JLA aka Justice League as Justice League: Mortal. That is a complete rumor, and if anything at all is just a codename for the project, much like Red Sun was the codename for Superman Returns, The Dark Knight’s was Rory’s First Kiss, Star Wars was Blue Harvest, etc. The real codename for it in recent news is 7 Friends (sounds like a reality show).

The film will most surely be called Justice league.

LOL, Kel, like I said, a conversation from a bar emailed into a movie site: Not exactly courtroom-level information. :-)
But I thought it was interesting enough to post.

Now let’s just hope that it is in fact, B.S.

My sentiments exactly, Vic, ol’ bud. :-)
This has gotta be fake……maybe an early April fool’s prank?

I just hope we find out who was REALLY cast soon…

But anyway, thanks for the post….even tho it scared the hell out of me. :-D

Its funny I can allways tell a KEL post before I get to the name. Hahaha.

Vic are you trying to torture KEL???

I have to say that YES Lucas could have had some better casting on the Prequels. I didn’t have a prob with the kid in the first film but I do admit my first
reaction to seeing Hayden on the cover of Star Wars Insider was a bit of a shock.

After seeing the Star Wars films I was kinda like “yeah not too bad”.
But could have been better.

Now to see him in the JL film. That’s just “once bitten twice shy” IMO.

I hope this is way off. Let’s hope he’s filming Jumper2. For KEL’s sake.

Stephen said,

I’m still nauseated over this potential horror that might fly towards us…

Dudes, I’m still recovering from Star Wars II and III not to mention the shock of VI.

I wish I could take a sneak peak at the new Trek Trailer, but I am in London now and I am not even close to where I usually get my fix for all news related Trek. BUT, I was promised to be one of the first to hear part of the score, so I am pretty excited…

Oh, by the way, I noticed that the London Symphony Orchestra WASN’T used for Indy 4. How interesting… I hope Mr. Williams is ok.

Just the fact that they said Adrian Brody and not Adam is pretty good evidence that this bunk.

Besides actors don’t go on location scouts.

I have to take full credit for the Adrian/Adam typo, sorry. I was in a hurry to get this posted and screwed up the name, so that’s all me.

And I have no opinion on Hayden as a person. Don’t know the guy and have no knowledge of his personal life.

I think Haydens one of those actors like Keanu Reeves that hasn’t made his Speed or Matrix yet.

Everyone hated Keanu until Speed and then after Matrix he became huge.

Hayden’s a cool I guy I hope he picks some better films.
I’m sure JL won’t be one of them.

Andy said,

I am happy to see that I am not the only one who thinks Christensen is an awful actor. “Whiney and annoying” are not words I would have ever used to describe Darth Vader, but Christensen did it. Him playing Superman-at ANY point in his life-would be the kiss of death for this film.

Methinks this is just gossip to throw people into the type of tizzy that KEL went into. This one is better than the werewolf X-Files disinformation!

Andy said,
March 29th, 2008

Actually 790, I liked Keanu in “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” I never hated the guy. He wasn’t one of my favorite actors, but then again he didn’t ruin of the iconic character from my youth, either…

790 said,
March 29th, 2008

Yeah Andy I’ve allways liked Keanu but he used to have an anti-fanbase.
He was compared the same way as Hayden.

Can’t act , no emotions, dull, but eventually he got some good roles.

Point Break, Speed, Jonny Numonic, Matrix.
^
That’s prob what’s going to happen to Hayden. He’s going to get lucky with a realy great script and turn the anti-fans around..?

Sha yeah right, what am I saying?
Who knows?

DD said,

Yay for Keanu! Potential future semi-yay for Hayden!

But, no, Hayden shouldn’t be Superman at any point in either of their respective careers. Definitely not.
No.

Just no.

KEL said,
March 30th, 2008

Guys, check this out: http://www.superherohype.com/news/justiceleaguenews.php?id=6986

It says that JLA film not only doesn’t have a script and that they expect a DRAFT of the script within the next 2 MONTHS, but that they have also NOT SECURED ANY OF THE SUPERHEROES yet, meaning they’re CASTLESS.

Unbelievable. So when will shooting begin???? Beats me. I guess this means they are restarting everything? And that means that Common and Gale, who confirmed their parts, are out of a job? It probably also means JLA won’t hit theaters till 2010 or late 2009 at the earliest (if the info is true, which I think it is).

Maybe now they’ll cast Michael Trucco (37 yrs old) as Superman like I suggested.

Maybe Nathon Fillon (also 37 yrs old) as Green Lantern/Hal Jordan??

I think that maybe Jensen Ackles (30 yrs old) would make a cool Flash/Barry Allen. But then I guess they’d have to cast someone younger as Hal Jordan/GL cuz in the comics Hal and Barry were the same age (best friends too). Any suggestions, guys?

I thought that Commmon (35) was a good choice for GL/John Stewart, that Adam Brody (29) was an OK choice for Flash/Barry Allen, and that Megan Gale (32) certainly looked like Wonder Woman, but I guess they won’t be using them at all now?

I think that Stephen Tobolowsky would’ve been an OK Alfred. Maybe better than Michael Caine, who is to Alfred what Jack Nicholson is to the Joker (I thought he was good), he’s the same in every movie he’s in, not that that’s always a bad thing. I hope he gets the part if Alfred is in it.

So this Cristensen Superman rumor is a JOKE.

KEL said,

“Welling should play superman in the JLA movie or it will be stupid and not worth watching”

I think it’d be great if he were cast as Superman (or if Routh were) in JLA, but he has expressed NO interest in playing Superman at all past whatever character he’s playing on something called Smallville. I dislike Smallville, but I think Welling would make a good Superman if he/they allowed it.

There are plenty of other good actor choices out there for Superman in JLA. As long as they have someone who fits the part and a good story then the film will be good, IMO.

790 said,
March 30th, 2008

They don’t have a script. Or they have 20 scripts.

JL, is all hype and no script.

KEL said,
March 30th, 2008

…and you can add NOTHING OFFICIAL to that, 790.

To quote George Carlin: “It’s all B.S. and it’s all bad for you”. ;-)

790 said,
March 30th, 2008

After Waterworld, the rule is nothing gets built without a script.

I don’t even see how they can say Miller is Directing this unless he’s the one writing it.

Without a script there can’t be any location spots to check out.

KEL said,
March 30th, 2008

Exactly, 790. And yet it was said that they had locations picked out and even SETS built for the film and SFX for characters like the OMACs prepared for the film (the SFX were supposedly be worked on since late 2006) and that the supposed “rewrites” on the script were to add more action into the third act, not completely rewrite the script.

So what is true?

We know they were originally gonna shoot JLA in Sydney, Australia, but because of the tax issue they were gonna move to Canada to shoot but they already had sets built? I don’t get it.

Supposedly, WB has sunk 200 milion into the film so far, the film was/is supposed to be HUGE.

I just wish we’d get some OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION on what’s going on with the damm thing….

790 said,
March 30th, 2008

WB has prob guaranteed a 200m. budget but I doubt they have greenlighted anything at this point.

One huge prob with this film is not only the cast but all the deals they have make with all the actors. That’s gotta be a bitch with 20 superheros that all have potential huge fanbase’s. The JLA cast will be twice the size of the X-men..
Casting semi-unknowns would be prudent in terms of cost.

KEL said,
March 30th, 2008

790, we don’t know who the cast is yet.

The JLA in the comix traditionally has 7 (founding) members, that’s the lineup the film will most likely be based on, just the seven founding members. Some characters will obviously get more facetime while other more obscure members will have smaller amounts of screentime.

Here are the JLA founding members:

1. Superman

2. Batman

3. Wonder Woman

4. the Flash (Barry Allen)

5. Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)

6. Martian Manhunter

7. Aquaman (Arthur Curry)

Maybe Hayden can play that 2nd-stringer Stone Boy from Legion of Superheros. He’s perfect for the part, he turns to stone whenever a camera’s on him

March 31st, 2008

I think Hayden would be a great superman. He has done great in all his movies to me, and if you dont think so…watch them again.

One day I hope to meet Hayden Christensen, its one of my dreams. Can anyone help me?

Stephen said,
March 31st, 2008

Kevin, it’s not yet officially April 1st so your post doesn’t count!

;p

Unless you really want to meet Hayden. What in the world would you want to do with him?

I’ve actually met him once, so I shouldn’t really say bad things about him, cause he’s a good person. But then, when it comes to the quality of his work, that’s a different thing, cause he’s selling a product I don’t believe in. Like a Sissy Vader… so… there…

Oh by the way, did anyone notice in this photo the cool Aptera?
http://www.aintitcool.com/images2007/TrekSetBig5.JPG

In the new Star Trek movie, it seems this new Aptera 300 will make a cool cameo.

You too can have a piece of the future for only oh, $20 to $29ks!

790, tell me you are kidding? Johnny Mnemonic among Speed and Matrix? Point Break was OK but not nearly the same league as Speed or Matrix. Reeves has surprised me in the past and I hope he does again as Klaatu.

Christensen, the man needs acting lessons fast. While I did enjoy SW 3, I agree that he was way too whiny for the ruthless Vader.
