For as long as the Star Wars franchise has been around, fans are only two months away from getting something they have never experienced in their lifetime. Not only is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story expected to be the first (of many) anthology films set within the universe, it will also mark the first time that fans will get a new Star Wars movie in back-to-back years. This will continue to be the case for the next few years, and anticipation is building to see what Lucasfilm and Disney have come up with.

Rogue One will break away from the episodic story just barely and tell the tale of the group of rebels responsible for stealing the plans for the Death Star that Leia is in possession of at the beginning of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. The marketing campaign is in the final stretch and recently just released the final trailer for Rogue One, which has received enormously positive reactions. Still, there has been a good amount of footage released to this point, and fans can now see it all in one epic supercut.

Science vs. Cinema (via /Film) has recently released their supercut for Rogue One, which combines footage from the teaser trailer, both domestic trailers, the international trailer, and even the sizzle reel. The result is a good one to say the least, with fans now being able to watch nearly six minutes of footage cut together in an impressive style.

Star Wars Rogue One Jyn Vader Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Supercut Creates Epic 6 Minute Trailer

This is an incredibly well put together supercut, and is a perfect culmination of the footage that has so far been released for the film. Not only does it build throughout, but the simple ability of meshing the score together throughout is fairly impressive for a fan to do. This supercut could potentially grow longer if the creators want to update it with additional, brief, new clips that will likely come with TV spots, but the main portion of the footage has already been released to this point.

It is difficult not to get excited for Rogue One while watching this supercut and seeing potentially how the story will unfold. It also further shows just how much of this story will revolve around Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones). Meanwhile, the iconic figure of Darth Vader is still only a lurking presence and barely a focus of any of the marketing, which hopefully indicates that his best moments are going to be saved for the theaters and blow audiences away. While fans have to wait two more months to see the final cut of the film, this is a supercut that should hold people over in the meantime.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in U.S. theaters on December 16, 2016, followed by Star Wars: Episode VIII on December 15, 2017, the Han Solo Star Wars Anthology film on May 25, 2018, Star Wars: Episode IX in 2019, and the third Star Wars Anthology film in 2020.
