Oh, I would be SHOCKED if Cheech Marin wasn’t back as the priest we saw in the fake trailer. He’s worked with Rodriguez many-a-time (he played three different characters in his From Dusk Till Dawn!), so I think you can pretty much guarantee he’ll be back for this.

I like it, sometimes strange casting combinations work, sometimes they don’t. My friends and I always hoped this movie would happen. I hope Cheech is in there too.

“Machete” if done in the grindhouse style and with these actors (I’ll totally overlook Jonah Hill) would be freeken awesome!!! if Seagal gets into shape for this like Mickey Rourke did it could be his comeback film !!!

Damn its great casting. If they could get Kurt Russell in there I’m willing to deal with a Seagal comeback…

Danny Trejo is AWESOME its about time that he’s getting his own movie ( so to speak ).
As for the casting ……………I’m not gonna hold my breath but I hope its all true ,
that would be SO F##CKING COOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. on the subject of funny Deniro flicks , we CANNOT overlook Midnight Run ( one of my Deniro favs !!!! )

De Niro was also really funny in Stardust, so i can see him in a funny role, but in Machete, i kinda see him as a main villian

If the De Niro casting rumor turns out to be true, it would be effing brilliant! I’ve always thought De Niro had a great sense of humor, loved him in — strange to say — Analyze This.
