I think considering Downey’s real life addiction problems, it’s good that he’s keeping himself so busy. Also, keep in mind he did THREE movies around the same year he did Iron Man… right? I think this will be fine either way.

Whether they do the IM sequel in 2010 or 2011, PLEASE get Terrence Howard out of there!!! Put in a more kickass person as Jim Rhodes, for goodness sake!!

I think Ironman, Avengers will both definatley be pushed back. Probably Thor too.

I think Marvel is jumping just a little early riding the hype wagon created with Iron man and Hulk to announce sequel dates. Although I’m really happy they did to that, i think the dates may happen to be unrealistic to meet.

Digital Spy had an article a week ago saying that Favreau and marvel are not seeing eye to eye on financial terms. I imagine RDJ aint waiting for that to resolve itself; he’s big and has to (pardon the pun) strike while the iron is hot…

I agreed INK, Marvel did an excellent job with their first two produced feature films. Both were outstanding quality movies. The marketing and promotions leading up to the movies were clever and on the mark. However, their future slate of films for 2010 and 2011 are getting off to a very shaky start, so far very negative buzz and PR. I was touting ‘IN MARVEL WE TRUST’, now I am doubting my phrase. Had they locked in on their actors and director contract sooner for the IM sequel, RDJ would not have all these new offerings ie Cowboys, Sherlock, and Hef which in turn conflict with Marvel plans. Is this the case of success and $$$ that has made Marvel judgment/decisions cloudy and cementing their own grave…

Sounds like a fun movie. Marvel has the right ideas in making their own movies – both Ironman and The Incredible Hulk were great – but it sounds like they need some help in the personel relations department.
