I don’t know how this sits with me… Loved the first Pirates and pretty much loathed the sequels. I hope this guy knows what hes doing hes got a lot of disappointed fans to please with this 4th movie.

Ok, first of, Twilight is crappy and werid and I am a girl talking here so don’t think all girls like Twilight, secondly what do you mean just about Jack Sparrow, that would be boring with just one character. And besides every charecter had a story in the 1st,2nd, and 3rd movie all the characters had their own life story and what they wanted to happen in the world. As in Will wanted to kill Davy Jones to free his father, Norrington wanted his life and posetion back as commadore, and Jack wanted to rule the seas forever and to not have Jones buging him with his pet the Kraken. If there is just one character with one simple story pirates of the caribbean has officaly tured boring.

Are you honestly SERIOUS? Pirates of the Caribbean is about JACK SPARROW, not side sons and daughters. I don’t want a teen boy adn girl couple blotting out the show with soppy romance like Twilight. I want action-comedy Pirates sequel as worthy as the first one, with new older characters and a great storyline that will do justice to the franchise. Adding unnecessary complexities is exactly why the two Pirates sequels sucked, and family history is included! A quick A to B story like CotBP. That will do. Your idea is what would kill it.

I think KatieRobertson has a graet idea! Having more family to it and not making pirates of the caribbean a horror movie would be great! It adds comedy, love and more intrest to the future pirates that might come into the picture. (like Elizabeth’s and Will’s son falling in love once older.) The key to a great movie is to have all intrests of comedy, drama, love, action, and adventure!

The key to a good family movie (which is what they want)is to have a family conection with others! Anyway Elizabeth and Will already have a son, it was shown after the credits of pirates 3. Jack sparrow could have more to his life anyway because if they are making a movie just on Jack they should have past and present brought into it. Don’t you ever wonder what happened to his family!?

NO NO to son and daughters!! plz dont spoil the movie with family strings! its sucks to see anti-heroes being a parent. Its best to just let em be the initial original character. For example, mummy 3 turned out very dissapointing when a hard ass gun fighter adventurer turned soft! Yes the focus should be on jack and barbossa- it would be fun to see this two iconic characters to play once again. New characters would definitely add the fun aswell. Lets hope it would turn out to be a new trilogy itself

Pirates of the Caribbean are great movies it is just one problem with the 4th one is that they said it will be based only on Captian Jack. I beleive they should make a movie with the Elizabeth and Will’s child and maybe Captian Jack has a 13 year old daughter forgetting that he was once married.It would be interesting to because Elizabeth and Will’s son could fall in love with Jack Sparrows daughter and then who knows what will happen from that point.

Law of diminishing returns. POC-COTBP was a classic movie, it gave everyone a completely new take on pirates in general, and was simply great fun.

Both sequels are extremely poor and forgot why the first was such a success.

I understand not having Bloom in this film, as his character cannot easily return, and due to the fact that he may actually be the worst actor to have ever appeared on screen.

But not having Keira Knightley back is a big mistake in my opinion, she was great in those films, and sparked well off Depp. And she is hotter than the sun.

Another bad sequel will only result in punishing the brilliant original.

No Johnny Depp that would ruin the movie He made Jack Sparrow a household name. It just would not be a good film with someone else in the part or no Captain Jack at all. So come on bring back Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow.

I’m glad Knightley and Bloom are done in this series. Their story is over. I’ve always felt that Bloom wasted his career by being a pouting pretty boy. In the first “Pirates” I felt he could be a modern day Errol Flynn. Instead he continued to pump out mediocre performances in mediocre movies (“Kingdom of Heaven” excepted). I like Marshall on this. I want to see this movie toned down from the last two and just as pretty as his “Memoirs of a Geisha.”
