‘LOST IN SPACE??’……….did anybody else notice this on the newspaper? The shuttle in space is a perfect excuse to start off the sequel along with the virus spreading via the airline pilot.
So the next one could possibly start with the shuttle crashin to earth several years on from now at which point the planet is overun by Apes.
actually, I think the ship that was lost was meant to be the ship that crashed from the original “Planet Of The Apes”.

I overall enjoyed the whole movie though out 5/5
There is 1 BIG hole in the ending. The tok care of 2 of the 3 loop holes:
1. They explained how the humans will mostly die off on the planet
2. They did the setup for the Charleston Heston character getting stuck in space for all those years .. to return later to “another planet” that has been overrun by apes ..
BUT they did not explain how the apes SURIVED to take over the planet. You would expect that given the current ending, the Army would jsut napalm the redwood forest and that would be the end of the apes … they did not give a clean explanation of how the few apes in SF redwoods would survive long enough the repopulate the earth.. What they SHOULD have done what ave a 5 minute scened where the lab is shut down and some baby apes are shipped of to the coreners of the world (Uganda, Africa, China) to be reintegarated in the wild and in Zoos .. then that would explain how they would conquere the earth by procreating .. shame they missed that ..
Well the virus is spread as you seen so a human with the virus comes in contact with a monkey could cause them to get this virus thus spreading it
The virus will cause the humans that survive to lose their speach. One scene shows a news report that Icarus was heading to saturn. Icarus was Taylor’s ship. Then the newspaper says Lost in space. I took that to mean Icarus was lost.
