  1. Best part: they got rid of Vaako(Karl Urban)’s stupid mullet!

  2. Boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • No you are wrong, it was super boring.

  3. Thought the movie was great! Got exactly what I expected out of it. Nothing more, nothing less. Humor. Action. Bad-Ass Riddick.

  4. I think Vin needs a vacation from sequels because I could’ve sworn he mixed a bit of Fast & Furious into this one. His acting was a bit annoying because it needed more character transition? Isn’t this just the same script as “Pitch Black,” just different planet, species (air to water), & bounty hunter? I expected more Rambo, less Bear Grylls. Still glad they made it though, but I feel like they left room for more movies just in case…

  5. I really enjoyed the movie

  6. Good Movie, not great. I wouldn’t mind if they made more movies, but I wouldn’t be disappointed if they didn’t.

  7. Thought I was watching I am Legend for the 1st 30 minutes. The resto of the movie was predictable and just dumb

  8. I really enjoyed the first half if the movie! The second half good, just not as good as the first. The emotion and the simplicity of the first half, made me bump my star rating up 1/2 star higher than Ben’s.

  9. Just saw the movie and I was glad that they made it. I’m a fan of the franchises, the first, the second, and now, the third. Love the character Riddick, and this time around, he seemed less indestructible and more human (Furyan?.)

  10. I love the pitch black and chronicles of riddick movies, this one left a weird taste in my mouth. like something just seemed off about it. first of all that flashback scene where he talks about becoming king of the necromongers (the end of the 2nd movie) was pretty ridiculous, like what oath? and who is this random dude with a “effed up face” who screams you keep what you kill, like yeah i understand the necromonger way but why this random guy? the slowly injecting venom thing was cool to figure out how to kill that weird main monster, but something just felt like this was an updated pitch black, like you’re stranded on a planet you don’t know, (which both look really similar) and there just so happens to be a monster that comes out only every now and again when the climate works in its favor? the bounty hunters were cool i liked seeing two teams of mercs fighting against each other and then working together. but still just a weird taste in my mouth ya know?

    • That weird taste was s***.

  11. It was just like Pitch Black, in a good way; However, the ending was complete garbage. There should have been an extra 30 minutes to build up suspense for the ending but it feels like the movie just cut off.

  12. I was kind of disappointed with this Riddick. I liked the first two a lot, but this one felt a bit lazy. I hope they can make more that will show the rest of the story, but I hope they get back to what made the first two great.

The character of Riddick felt a bit off in this one. Also, it was like they were trying to have excuses to earn their R rating, so they just threw in some random nudity and a guy getting his head chopped in half.

The ending didn’t really feel earned either; more like they had to end it because they ran out of time. Why did Johns run off if he was just going to go back and get Riddick? Did he have a change of heart? Why didn’t they show that? I was wondering if Riddick was going to go back to the ship after he cauterized his wound, but he just had to hold off the creatures until he was luckily rescued. He didn’t earn his freedom. He was helpless and they rescued him. Not a position you want to see the film’s hero in.

OK, I’m done ranting now. I look forward to a third, but I hope Twohy will go back to what made the first two great. Have characters I care about, and a good build-up to the end, and have the payoffs be earned. Also have some tighter editing so the film doesn’t seem to drag like this one did at times.
