Here's every appearance by the beloved Mr. Poopybutthole on Rick And Morty to date. While the title characters and the Smith family soon developed cult fandoms after the first season of Rick And Morty aired, the series also has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to supporting characters. From Danny Trejo's Jaguar to Mr. Meeseeks and whatever Squanchy is supposed to be, the show has a knack for memorable side players.

Arguably the most popular is Mr. Poopybutthole, who first appeared in Rick And Morty season 2. The character is an energetic, upbeat creature who is shaped like a yellow sausage with arms and legs. Just like the title characters, he's voiced by Justin Roiland with Mr. Poopybutthole's most famous quote being "Ooh wee." Despite his popularity, that character hasn't actually made that many appearances on the series.

Mr. Poopybutthole's first appearance came in Rick And Morty's season 2 episode "Total Rekall." This sees Rick lockdown his house and family to battle an alien parasite that implants fake memories, leading to many colorful characters suddenly appearing and the family having to figure out who is real. Mr. Poopybutthole suddenly appears as an old family friend and seems to an obvious candidate to be a parasite. That's until Beth shoots Mr. Poopybutthole at the end of the story - having suspected throughout he was a parasite in disguise - only to learn he was real. The episode ends with the character in the hospital learning how to walk again, and asking a nurse to tell the Smith family to leave.

Mr. Poopybutthole appears again on Rick And Morty's season 2 finale "The Wedding Squanchers" in a post-credit scene. He talks directly to the audience about the episode's events, wondering out loud how Rick will get out of being captured by the Galactic Federation and hinting it could be close to two years before the show will return. He then made a tiny cameo on season 3, episode 8's "Morty's Mind Blowers," where he's seen proposing to Morty during one of the latter's memories. He appears again in the season 3 finale "The Rickchurian Mortydate," where Mr. Poopybutthole's family, consisting of his wife and son, are shown for the first time and the character again teases a long wait for season 4.

Mr. Poopybutthole's last appearance was on Rick And Morty season 4, episode 3's "One Crew Over The Crewcoo's Morty," where he's shown as a college professor. Suddenly, some of his students attack and he swiftly takes them down with his karate. It turns out this was all a ploy set up by Rick to recruit him for his heisting crew, and Mr. Poopybutthole immediately accepts. He does express regret in the post-credit scene, however, that assaulting his students got him fired from the university. He and his family were also the subjects of the cute little promo short "The Poop In My Pants."
