I’m not quite sure what to say for the trailer. I think McKay does it for me as Welles. But as for Zac…I’m not so sure about that. The movie looks interesting. I’ve read the book and its a good read. The book (of the same title) was written by Robert Kaplow, who so happens to be my english teach. Brilliant man and a great story teller. I’ll see the movie mainly because i know the man, but if that wasn’t the case i most likely wouldn’t see it.

Weird to think that Welles was only 23 at this point. McKay’s a decade too old (and then some), but it seems like a good performance. It’s a tough one to get right: Vincent D’Onofrio actually looked younger than he was supposed to be as Welles in his cameo for Ed Wood, and his voice had to be dubbed as well.

Before Sunrise/Sunset were “borefests”?! Really?! They’re a couple of my favorites: such sublime films that are about nothing else but a couple of people talking. I could listen to Ethan Hawke and Juliey Delpy’s character talk like that for hours and hours.

Waking Life is fantastic, too.

I’ll take another Before Sunrise/Sunset any day and twice on Sunday.

I see your point though. Films like that and A Scanner Darkly just required a lot of patience. And if anything I appreciate the novelty of that style.

In any case I am curious for this no matter the direction it takes. Cool post.
