This movie was fully inspiring LIES. I am not a true 9/11 conspirator. A lot of the accounts on that are all assumed. I do believe that the people on that plane were gonna try take it back. But they didn't even come close. The plane was shot down by two F-18s. Vice President Chaney gave the order to shoot down any plane still in the sky after the other planes were told land. Plus it's real interesting how "All of a sudden" those short conversations became long drawn out execution plans on how the passengers were going to take back the plane. So it can't be a true story if don't know for sure what happen. Oh yeah about the plane being shot down. I know a guy in the Air Force who confirmed that the planes were shot down. So in all I could not watch this movie knowing it was One Big Lie!!!!

I just saw this the other day on DVD, and I couldn't agree more with your review. What a riveting, powerful movie... Greengrass truly hit this one out of the park. If this doesn't deserve a five-star rating, I don't know what does.

Jack,

Yours is the first and last "conspiracy nut" post I will allow on this site. It stuns and amazes me that people who live in the U.S. actually think that the government would orchestrate the murder of thousands of it's own citizena when all you have to do is turn on the news to see radical Islamic terrorists calling for death to America. Any conspiracy theory out there is based on half-truths and faulty information, no matter how convincingly it is presented.

If you can be bothered to take the time to read it, I suggest that you go here:

http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/defense/1227842.html

Where these whack-job theories are debunked one by one.

Oh, and you might want to visit http://MichaelSavage.com to see images and videos of what these terrorist murders have done to innocent civilians. Nothing like a real video of a bunch of hooded terrorists sawing the head off an innocent man as he screams his last breath on camera to clear your head of these idiotic notions.

On a final note, Osama bin Laden ADMITTED that he was responsible.

Another movie on 911 - even better than this one

You should see for yourself what a couple of average joes managed to make with ingenious use of the internet (g*o*o*g*l*e among others)

Just search for 911 Loose Change in g*o*o*g*l*e and you can watch it for free.
My advice for this movie is sit through it until the end, pay attention, and be objective!

I thought this film was the biggest pile of non-sense I have ever seen. It encourages xenophobia, makes people want a bigger and better army, and fails to portray a sense of this realism everyone is speaking about. But mainly, all it does, is make one look at an arab twice. It would be good if only arabs were affected, but europeans and people from the USA can't tell the difference between a brown guy (could be egyptian)and a brown guy (could be indian). The main thing is, since when can you use a mobile phone on the plane? and something else: you couldn't take an electric battery let alone knives into the cabin of an airplane before the 11th of September anyway. But I'm not going to get into any small (yet key) details, i would advise you to watch this one but not get sentimental - try and analize the facts, but if you can't then don't it will make you cringe every time you will hear "Allah o Akbar".
It's a just a shame our governments (yours and mine) can't just come clean and leave the poorest countries in the world alone.

It was a 5 star review as well. I was very taken with the writing and although I will wait for the DVD release, I will watch this. It may take that long to work up the courage (not the right word, but I don't quite know the right word... the absence of dread?). Thanks.
