Hi.
This is just a quickie comment. (I'm knocked flat with a very bad cold. I apologise for not making much sense at the moment.)
I must say that your review of 'The Cell' gave me a right laugh. I have it on DVD, myself. I watched it umpteen times (Perhaps I should watch it when high on hash to get another perspective), and often wondered: 'Why JLo?' I, too, kept thinking 'What the bloody hell was Tarsem Singh smoking, sniffing, whatever, when making this flick?'
As far as the cast goes: JLo - not!; Vincent D'Onofrio - yes; Vince Vaughn - yes; et al - yes.
In the DVD, Singh indicated that it's more of a visual feast, lalala. That the audience can take it however they please, and along that line.
Oh yes, there just had to be a gratuitous shot of Jennifer in her knickers to appeal to the males of the species.
Perhaps the movie is to a [expletive deleted] for the audience as well for the story itself.
For all it's worth, enjoy it in whatever mindset you are in.
Good day/night all.
