I had a similar desire to see the original before the sequel came out. I thought the original was poorly marketed; the previews and commercials didn’t make the movie seem very interesting. However, the sequel seems to be marketed much better; the commercials make me want to go see this one.

You should check it out. Not being familiar with the source material, I don’t know if the new film picks up where the first one left off, but in any case it’s still worth checking out.

Yeah, I remember a while back when the first one come out, I didn’t go to see it because the trailers made it look kinda lacklustre. However, much later, after a DVD rental, I was quite pleasantly surprised.

I bet the opposite is gonna happen now, I’ll go see the Bourne Supremecy at the cinema because it looks good, then end up disappointed because the first was better. :)
