I read that for the DVD they will be adding more blood digitally. And I thought with PG-13 they would at least be able to get one F-bomb in for his catch phrase, I guess that wasn’t the case. Maybe there is an alternate take for the Unrated DVD.

Vic says:

I have to admit that in today’s PG-13 movie world they’d let one F-bomb squeak by for the classic phrase, but really the movie needed a lot more unleashing throughout to make it a true “Die Hard” movie.

BTW, I absolutely HATE it when movies are filled with people being riddled with bullets and there is nary a drop of blood in sight! If you’re going to show someone being shot, show the consequences, otherwise it looks like a stinking video game.

Hey,how about this title for a Die Hard 5:
“Great Taste,Less Filling”
Huh,huh? Pretty gritty,dontcha think?

Vic says:

LOL!! Oh, that’s GOOD! :-)

Oh goodness. You guys are having way too much fun with this. That said, I’m happy to hear this is at least worth my dollars. I’m looking forward to it.

Just one word:

While I agree with your review on most parts, I don’t understand the part about German henchmen… The girl was (as noted) asian, several of the men were French (at least three or four, since the whole first strike group was French), and at least one other guy was Italian… This was more of a “European Union” panel of henchmen, for me (except for the girl, at least not obviously).

Also, I was less convinced by the fire hydrant gettng the sniper down than by the car crashing the chopper.

But overall, a very enjoyable movie, I agree completely.

PS: I know I’m kind of late, but I only saw the movie this week…

Screen Rant says:

Arioch, you may be right (I just purchased the DVD and will re-watch it), but that doesn’t change the fact that they were still all WASPs.

Vic

Arioch says:

Well, they were definitely all white (except the asian girl, again… but I suspect she is half-asian, half-european). The ASP of WASP is not so sure (especially the Italian one)… But I’m nitpicking. ;-)

Vic says:

No worries, I don’t mind being corrected on stuff like this. :-)
