I do not agree with the reboot as I have played the games and watched the movies. I am a fan of both but with the changing of characters and story lines in the games it does not make for a great movie franchise series as where you stick with one story line and cant wait to find out whats next. Now with the game its nice to change up character and scenery but not with a movie franchise. Yes the movie franchise went off the way the game went but it made for a better story and plus with bringing in characters later on that are in the games. So I would love to see the franchise played out as far as it can go till there is an actual ending then maybe do a reboot with the other characters as well.

i think that this would be a good idea but at the same time not so much. if they bring in any new characters they should bring in leon.s.kennedy because he is one of the great characters and it will start up his persona as a secret agent for the united states government or B.S.A.A which was previously started in the game resident evil 5 and if they do this then if they make a 6th one after begins leon should meet up with the original character alice which will make a great storyline that will pertain to the games in a sence even though alice isnt one of the characters from the game and im sure all resident evil enthusiasts like myself will truly enjoy…..

If they do reboot the franchise, why not just make the film after the first game and base the entire movie inside the Spencer Estate? Spend most of the movie with the suspense of the Gothic mansion and then reveal the laboratory near it’s climax.

I think the reboot idea is the worst I’ve heard. I a lot of people go see these movies because the characters are awesome, like Alice and Claire. When you start changing the theme of movies that already have made, it turns out badly. I don’t think that I have ever seen a really good prequel that I liked better then the others before. They explained how the T-Virus got started in the first RE they don’t need to do it all over again.

do you know anything about what is resident evil? There is no any goddamn-crayz-flying-bitch called alice, resident evil's main plot is survival horror, and the superidiothuman alice kills the survival horror plot, resident evil means chris, jill, lean and the other awesome characters not a superidiothuman alice, the only one who has superhuman powers is wesker, so it makes the audience afraid from wesker and the zombies, consequently they realized they just did crap with the movies so they decided to make a reboot, well good luck with that

The strength of the original game was the almost M Knight level twist where the supernatural horror seeming of the early portion of the game was slowly replaced with the revelation of the scientific and conspiracy angles that really turned the tables on audience expectations. An ideal reboot of the franchise would take that direction, but it can’t work while the current RE series is so fresh in people’s minds.

I think its best if they decide to do a story plot for Resident Evil: Begins on what exactly happened in the Umbrella Coperation and how it all started, how the virus spreaded throughout the nation and world of course in this film Alice should not be introduced until the end of the film..They should have S.T.A.R.S members in the film Wesker, Jill, Chris, etc..and how Wesker turned bad and started to work for Umbrella…This film should have a storyline that will be conected and lead us to the first film of Resident Evil.

In the AfterLife film Alice should still in this film but continue the storyline of the pervious Resident evil films. Wesker should be the main target for Alice to go against. Both of them should have super stregnth and mobility.
zombies and tyrants will be battling the clones of Alice etc..

i think they should finis making the 4th, then restart the movies with RE 2 then move to RE 4 then maybe make 5 into a movie or see if theirs gonna be a RE6 with leon, make leon the focus of the new movies.
