Today we’ve got a new poster from this year’s 3D entry in the Resident Evil video game/zombie movie franchise, Resident Evil: Afterlife as well as the first image from the upcoming Johnny Depp/Angelina Jolie pairing The Tourist.
First, Milla Jovovich is ready to rumble in this new poster for Resident Evil: Afterlife, which will see her husband Paul W.S. Anderson back in the director’s chair – as he was only a writer on the second and third films in the franchise.
You might recall that the trailer for the fourth Resident Evil flick had a moment where Alice (Jovovich) jumped out a window and furiously fired off several shots at her pursuers a la Trinity in the opening of The Matrix Reloaded. Well, that scene is the basis for the film’s new one-sheet so we’ll see if this death-defying move is more visually stimulating when glimpsed in the third dimension.

Next, we have the first pic of two of Hollywood’s hottest celebs – Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie – looking glamorous in the thriller The Tourist. The European caper flick is being directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, the filmmaker responsible for The Lives of Others which won the 2007 Oscar for Best Foreign-Language Film.
The Tourist finds Depp playing Frank, an American fellow on holiday in Italy as he attempts to recover from a recent bout of heartache in his personal life. What Frank thinks is an accidental encounter with the beautiful Elise (Jolie) turns out be anything but when the femme fatale pulls him into “a whirlwind of intrigue and danger.”
You can see the two together in the image below:

Which of these flicks are you more excited for? The zombie-slaying Resident Evil actioner? Or the Hitchcockian thriller The Tourist? Sound off in the comments section below.
Resident Evil: Afterlife arrives in regular and 3D theaters in the U.S. on September 10th, 2010 while The Tourist will follow suit on February 16th, 2011.

Wont say I’m crazy for the poster, but I’m hoping for some kind of entertainment from this final Resident Evil
And when Angelina Jolie stops being so friggin attractive then may all of Hollywood be struck by lightning.
Wasn’t really a big fan of The Lives of Others, but The Tourist looks like its worth checking out.
While I do like the poster, it’s basically everything to hate about 3d movies rolled up into one image.
I hope the Resident Evil movie is better than the last one, as for Depp and Jolie, that’s just too much blandness for one movie!
