rescueme series finale Rescue Me Season 7 Vows Preview An Episode NOT To Miss

The final episode of series Rescue Me will soon be upon us. With only one episode left before we say goodbye to crew of Ladder 62, FX has released the promo for next week’s penultimate episode – and speaking as someone who’s already seen the remaining two episodes, you definitely don’t want to miss the final two installments of Denis Leary’s and Peter Tolan’s brilliant series.

Rescue Me season 7 found Tommy (Denis Leary) taking a new direction with his life – even if some of it is forced. With his now-pregnant wife, Janet (Andrea Roth), and his one-time mistress, Sheila (Callie Thorne), befriending each other, the tumultuous life that Tommy once led appears to have not only righted itself, but has completely disappeared.

And now Tommy’s eldest daughter, Colleen, is about to be wed to his co-worker “Black Shawn” (Larenz Tate) – but exactly how is a family full of Gavin drunks going to fare at an elegant wedding paid for by her rich “aunt” Sheila?

Since the promo (see below) shows a guitar being thrown off the balcony by a shirtless Uncle Teddy (Lenny Clarke), it appears that some of the Gavin family may break their vow of sobriety.

You can view the episode description for “Vow” below:

In the tradition of the Gavin family, Colleen’s wedding is an emotional if not debaucherous affair. The high spirits quickly fade, however, when the guys tackle the mother of all fires.

Without giving ANYTHING away, it should be said that if you’re a fan of Rescue Me – even if you no longer watch the series – you must watch this episode. While this is only the second to the last episode, next week’s episode directly ties into the Rescue Me series finale that’s set to air September 7.

Rescue Me airs Wednesdays @10pm on FX

  1. Looks great!! Can’t wait to see how it all plays out!!

  2. I’m calling it – Black Shawn dies in the fire.

  3. This last episode where Lou screws up with the letters was the first this season that was like the past seasons….A pretty good mixture of comedy. Otherwise this has not been a good season writing wise so I really hope the last couple shows pull it back together. I’ve been a fan from the beginning and I really hope it goes out in glory the way it deserves…..
