Lets face it people everything the past 10 years has been remakes! I LOVE Fright Night and no I dont think this new one will be as great as the original BUT… I love David Tennant who is gonna be Peter and I think he will be great in this role . Do I think better than Roddy? Heck no !! The original rocked! But I gotta tell you the rest of the cast …i just dont know about. Scarlet Johansen or Megan Fox ? Big fat NO to both! Act our way out of a paper bag? Dont think so….. Lets get a young attractive (Not super model) girl who can act. Colin as Jerry ? Dont like it .Chris made you want to drop top and bare neck and stake him at the same time . Colin……dont see it happening.

horrible, horrible idea, this movie is amazing, and no one could replace the cast that it had in the 80′s, keep it as it is, making a remake will ruin the original for me, but thats just my opinion, i refuse to see the remake due to the fact that i don’t want to think any less of one of my favorite movies, again, thats my opinion.

Usually I don’t mind remakes but fright night is one of my favorite vampire movies of all time I just hope the new doesnt mess up the original which is a classic. It will be interesting to see Colin Farrell play the next door neighbor.

This is a mistake! There are certain movies that you just DON’T remake. They are perfect JUST as they are. Can you, seriously, imagine a remake of Gone with the Wind? Even if it WAS done, it wouldn’t work – the original would outshine it – and that will be the same case here. Chris Sarandon WAS Jerry Dandrige. And they’re actually going to try to replace Roddy McDowall?!? Are you kidding me? There are SO many other options out there – this is just a studio flushing it’s money down the toilet. Mark my words – if they make this film, it will FLOP!

Megan Fox is too beautiful for Charlie, who’s suppose to be average looking, even kind of a nerd. You need to find an actress that’s average looking but can still look very pretty once a vampire. With the proper casting director, it can be easy to find. We have to believe that a girl like that could fall for a boy like that… How about Sir Ian McKellen (Aka Gandalf)for the part of Peter Vincent? To find somebody with as much charisma as Chris Sarandon will be hard, though. Maybe Jason Isaacs?

As long as they don’t put any of those losers (guy vampires) from Twightlight I MIGHT go see it. I think Megan Fox could help bring in viewers but the original was totally awesome! The old days of Tom Cruise in An Interview with a vampire and fright night, etc….are dead and gone.
Let the genre die already….my 2 cents

I’m 13 and I think that the original is just fine. In fact, it’s my fav. movie! I’m really upset about the remake because it’s a bad idea. You cant replace Peter Vincent and Evil Ed! By the way, Megan Fox would suck as Amy!

How about we shake things up a bit and go with Morgan Freeman as Peter Vincent or maybe, if he is still active despite his age, how bout Christopher Lee? To me, it was the Character of Jerry Dandridge that will be the most delicate to cast. Chris Sarandon was marvelous and what he brought to the sceen will not be easily replicated. Good luck with that!

i dont know.. to be honest i probably would go with someone other than megan fox. maybe scarlett jo hanson or something. yeah i dont know who that guy Felix is but he seems pretty good. We need a new face and I think he can pull it off. and i dont think robin williams would be good for this film. need someone more serious. maybe the guy from Monk.

I agree with Megan Fox as amy if she can pull off an innocent look and not too fierce. I searched Felix Ryan and I saw his pictures and he can pull of both nerdy/weird and also scary/intense. Not a bad choice. As far as Peter, I think Robin Williams could pull it off as a comedic/horror Peter. I heard Anton yelchin got cast for Charley so I think those 4 should be great together

I think its a good idea to have Megan Fox play Amy. I heard they already have someone playing Charley. Theres this guy named Felix Ryan who I think should play Evil Ed. I recently saw his videos. He is hilarious as a nerd and also play evil characters. Has great facial expressions. ummm… for Peter, thats a difficult choice.

The person who said cast megan foxx? she did a movie like this and it it was called Jennifer’s body remember it bombed? I think a girl like Elizabeth Dushku could work remember Amy was wholesome then turned HOT, they don’t to cast pornstar turned SLUT HOEBAG with lots of makeup on…The movie is by far my favorite next to part 2 both movie captured the imagination, My only concern is that Hollywood uses to much CG for stuff now and it would just kill the movie if they used stylized makeup FX’s with subtle hints of CG would work but I dunno..TOUCHING A CLASSIC CAN BE BAD especially if they penn a really bad script! YUCK

I am really really concerned about a Fright Night remake because I consider myself a FN expert, obsessed fan, and really picky. To me nothing will compare to the original. I’m a writer (not published) and have done my own remakes and sequels for fun. I love the idea of a sequel but a remake makes me shiver in my boots. They definitely need an excellent selection of actors and actresses to pull this off. I’ve got my own ideas on that.

I personally would pick someone such as Billy Zane or Gerard Butler to play Dandridge. As for Charley, some kid on a soapy looks remarkably like young Will Ragsdale and a pretty good actor to boot. For Amy, you definitely need someone who can pull off the innocent girlfriend; Megan Fox is too much of a sex kitten in a man’s eye unless she can tone it down. Now for Peter, I love Malcolm MacDowel from the Halloween remake; why not another MacDowell (with a different spelling). Evil Ed, that’s tricky, the kid from the FN rip off (Never Cry Werewolf) played a good rip off of Evil Ed.

Well, from my stand point.. I’m not gonna be impressed unless they stick with the guidelines of the original and don’t rip the original’s script to shreds! I pray they respect Fright Night!
