Man, even reading about a possible remake of American Werewolf in London is painful.

I think it’s important to recall Vic’s “remake and sequel” rules from awhile back.

One cannot dismiss outright that a sequel shouldn’t be made in a sweeping fashion.

Having seen the original, I must say that the ending always seemed too abrupt, with so much seemingly underdeveloped or unresolved. Contrary to many, I think the story can be improved to be more well-rounded and satisfying. I think perhaps the revolutionary SFX (at the time) used in the film may tend to block out the film’s flaws in the minds of the general consensus.

That’s just my opinion, though.

Seriously its time, and I think it would be great to discuss that “remake of the week” and have readers come up with their ideas on what needs to be brought in to make it right or how lame it is to even try…

There has been a remake idea or story every single week for like the last 3 months.
Capricorn One, Escape from NY and now this AWIL to name 3.

Ok here’s the deal,,,,, its time for Screen Rant to have a weekly colume called the “Remake of the week”.

I have no other comments on remaking a film that dosnt warrent a remake.

AWIL is still one of the greatest werewolf movies ever made ( EVER ).
I freely admit that todays FX are superior but , I think , other than that you just can’t improve on this film.
I’m always happy to give a new werewolf flick a shot , so I’d be quite happy to be wrong about this.
