Ernie Hudson says exactly what I want to hear “don’t wanna settle for a cameo”, while Harold Ramis makes me worried “We definitely are introducing new Ghostbusters”. So there’s just not easy to tell if it will be good, or the worst idea ever.

If it was just another film with the original cast, we could say “at least they tried”, even if it sucked. But I’ve not seen a single movie (except maybe Star Trek), where the original characters/actors have been replaced and it has worked out for the best. It’s just sad, and makes the fans of the originals feel old and outdated.

The one thing that makes me positive is the fact that Harold Ramis was disappointed with Indiana Jones 4. I personally loved Indy 4, but the statements he did about it shows that he’s aware of and respects original magic.

If Ivan doesn’t want to or can’t, he should make his boy Jason do it. I think Jason Reitman could take it over and still make a good Ghostbusters movie with it. Besides its about a new generation of Ghostbusters taking over, who better then your own seed?

Sweet. I hope that that all four original dudes are back. I like that Hudson doesn’t want to settle for a cameo. I had read somewhere in the past that Bill Murray felt the same way. That he didn’t like how little Winston had appeared in the second film.

I will be first in line, that is all I have to say.

If you’re working on that pack, check out proptopia.com as well. Just… don’t bring up a third movie there. Good crew, but they’re so tired of hearing about how there “might” be a movie for the last so-many years, it’s kind of been a taboo topic until principle photography starts and they know it’s real. *LOL*
