Kai ora

WOW we will get to see alternate control rooms in an episode coming up, backup control room maybe so to speak. More of the of the TARDIS - Yippee something we have all missed under the helm of RTD.

How does it play out in my head. As the current control room is trashed and the TARDIS is crashing Doctor needs another. - Dashes off into the deepest parts of the TARDIS - (and here's the part I like ) - glances in on past control rooms perhaps - finally comes across "Blue Perter set" with seconds enough only for materialising all be it badly (Blue Peter set trashed like last control room - sorry kids). At end of episode (Better be a 2 parter!!!) Doctor has time to explore TARDIS and find a suitable replacement control room.

p.s. an opinion from from "Middle Earth down under " - Matt Smith is gonna ROCK!!!.

Long live Doctor Who.

Haere rā

Is that because its a "LASER" screwdriver and not a "SONIC" screwdriver. I'm sure it was covered int an episode in the last year or two.

Rip apart an old clock and make a steampunk console. That would be fun. I wish I lived in the UK, I'd totally lie about my age, or enter as my little brother xD

I reckon the tardis interior should be slightly redesigned and show more of the other rooms like in the mid 1970s baker episodes which the design was i don't know gothy/victorian style as who fans must agree the lacks some substance and detail, but overall great to see it on the screen.

Cheers for that, Anthony - love the s'more clip! I may have try that one out for the sheer decadence factor alone. I do know sporks, I just didn't connect 'em with the Tardis. In my defence, it was late (over here anyway) when I read your article. Which is probably why I put a full stop (period!) instead of a comma in that first line as well: made it look as if I was shouting at you, sorry about that.

This just proves that the new Doctor Who will be more aimed at kids. Come on, let only kids take part in creating a new Tardis? This makes me a sad panda.

@The Big Dentist

Not knowing what what a spork or s'more is must mean you're from the UK. Let me give a rundown of my childish musings.

A spork is combination spoon and fork. It's basically a spoon with fork tines. It's pretty much useless when used as either a spoon or a fork, but it's the thought that counts.

Here's a picture of one: http://www.hrabaconsulting.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/te_spork_detail.jpg

As for the s'more. That's when you roast a marshmallow over the fire and place it on a graham cracker (digestive biscuit to you) that has a piece of chocolate on it. Cover it with another graham cracker to make a sandwich and you've got yourself a s'more. It's call that because you always want some more.

Although, if you'd like a visual explanation, I shall refer you to the classic education film, "The Sandlot."

Sporks? S'Mores? You'll have to explain those terms for me. Anthony! I'm just amazed they haven't tried to explore the Tardis at all in the current series. It's supposed to be infinite, after all. Rose availed herself of the costume facility, but it was never referred to again. Whatever the shortcomings of the Paul McGann one-off, I loved his library/drawing room section of the Tardis. The control room is only the tiniest section of the overall scheme.

What has always been bothersome is that you could bubblegum any possible piece of visible instrumentation and or controls with something invented from 1800 to 2010 A.D.
