Sly Stallone and his Expendables crew aren’t the only members of the over-50 crowd who know how to kick ass – Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman, and John Malkovich will get to show off their own deadly skills next month in the comic book flick, Red.
Four new clips from the Red are now available for viewing, along with a snazzy foreign poster. The trailer for Red portrayed the film as a fun, explosive action romp that featured a handful of award-winning thespians with their tongues pressed firmly against the interior of their cheeks – this new footage lends additional credence to that same idea.
Red revolves around four former black-ops agents Frank (Willis), Victoria (Mirren), Joe (Freeman), and Marvin (Malkovich), who are framed for an assassination and must reunite in order to stay ahead of the authorities. The team sets out to break into the secret CIA headquarters in order to uncover the truth behind the deadly plot set against them, but end up stumbling upon “one of the biggest conspiracies and cover-ups in government history.”
The new footage from Red has been edited down for time and features numerous entertaining scenes, including a polite exchange between Frank and Victoria about the life of retirement and some “girl talk” that involves Victoria, Frank’s love interest Sarah (Mary-Louise Parker), and a sniper rifle – also, Marvin uses a bullet to pull off one of the more hilarious, physics-defying moves you will ever see.

We also have a new French one-sheet from Red with a slick black-white-gray color scheme – minus the appropriate hue of the film’s title. Once again, is there really anything cooler than the sight of Oscar-winner Helen Mirren, fully loaded and ready for combat?
Red arrives in theaters in the U.S. on October 15th, 2010.
