Hey, guess what? There’s something other than superhero movies coming out this summer.
Courtesy of IGN.com we’ve got the new red band (R-rated) trailer for the upcoming horror movie Mirrors starring Keifer Sutherland.
Before you watch it you have to promise me that you’re over 18, m’kay?

Now be warned there are more than a couple really creepy and extremely gory moments in this trailer. As a matter of fact I don’t that the studio won’t contact me to pull it since it doesn’t have age verification on it (but you did promise you were over 18, remember?).
Here’s the synopsis:
“Keifer Sutherland plays an ex-cop who works as a security guard at a mall and discovers something awry in the mirrors of a department store. While trying to discover the origin of the evil he soon discovers that there are murderous reflections out for revenge. He traces the haunted occurrences back to a hospital and a schizophrenic patient’s evil spirit trapped in a mirrored room.”
So what do you think? Personally, I don’t know if the movie will be any good but that’s one freakin’ creepy trailer.
Mirrors opens on August 15th.

I’m not watching the trailer even though I’m 33. If it’s that creepy, I’d rather sleep tonight
I will comment that the synopsis sounds way too campy to be taken seriously, but if I’ve learned anything lately is that one can’t dismiss a concept on how it sounds on paper. There have been too many exceptions to the rule lately.
“A film based on a theme park ride? BOMB!” “A rat who wants to be a chef? What the…”
Ah come on Jersycajun everyone knows mirrors can trap evil spirits that refuse the light, Gheesh where ya been? Jersey?
I’m totally seeing this for what this is.
This is genius, a 24 movie prequel to the 24 tv show prequel.
We all watched 24 last season, :-p we all know that Jack’s struggling mentally and for work. With CTU gone underground Jack’s got to take on this Security guard gig just to get by. They don’t do good background checks and he fakes his way in.
He gets a cushy mall detail and finds peace, yet something is wrong, disturbing,,,,,evil.
This takes place between 8:30am and 5pm. MIRRORS!!!! Rated R!
I’m there!
sweet, I bet Kiefer goes Jack Bauer on those mirrored bastards and kills them all!!! muahahahaha
Keifer Sutherland Vs. People in Mirrors.
I haven’t seen a horror movie that looked this good since… well horror movies don’t usually look this good. I am going to see this.
Looks good and creepy. Count me in!
Fantastic! A great new unique direction in horror genre…very much looking forward this one.
Ok, save for the overused Silent Hill “I’m having a Grand Mal seizure effect, this looks very cool. Add in one very scared Jack Bauer and you just earned the first horror movie I’ll pay to see in the theaters in the last 5 years. After I see the Rotten Tomatoes rating, of course.
Finnally got a chance to see this trailer today.
Looks jaw ripping good.
Reminds me a little of The Ring….
I don’t do scary movies, but I made an exception for this one (based on the trailer found here). Girl in the theatre screamed in fear at the very beginning of the film. The entire theatre laughed, and it was all good entertainment after that! Keifer’s good but I think Amy Smart could have had a little more oomph in her part.
